4.0 out of 5 stars Great Duo Music by two masters., May 22, 1999
By A Customer
I've enjoyed the Clark Terry/ Peterson Trio album for years, when I found this Duet recording. Its just the two great players having fun and SWINGING! Terry rises to the challenge of keeping up with Oscar, one of the most technically gifted players of all time. Terry has a great sense of humor in his playing and even does some of his patented "Mumbling". Great Fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars MASTERS AT WORK, February 24, 2008
Among the most distinguished artists on their instruments, Clark Terry and Oscar Peterson work beautifully together; they are both versatile musicians that use both th elanguage of swing and of be-bop.

They share a sense of rhythm, swing and humor, and when they hit hard on the virtuoso numbers (check out "Shaw 'Nuff") things get really cookin'.
Without additional company (bass, drums, guitar...) they concentrate on each other, with Peterson providing the cohesion of the team and Terry giving the soul.

Highly recommended (check out this as well: Oscar Peterson Trio Plus One ).

p.s.
There are no Mumbles vocals on my copy of the album; maybe the other rewier is wrong, maybe there are different versions on the market...

I'm a bebop lover. I've heard a lot of bop, and this is probably my favorite of all. If you like bebop, this is a necessity.
