5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing practice resource, November 19, 2011
By
This review is from: Oscar Peterson (CD-ROM)
This product provides a window into the world of one of the finest piano players in jazz history: Oscar Peterson. There is much to like about this phenomenal tool. Note-for-note transcriptions of more than 10 Oscar Peterson solos. Audio synchronized with MIDI on most of the tracks so that you can actually watch the notes get highlighted as the solos roll along. The ability to loop and half time sections of music so that you can practice along with the track as it plays. There is a book and CD of recordings only that can be purchased separately. But, you can also print out the music directly from this Multimedia CD if you'd like. It is possible to both slow down the tracks and transpose the tunes into different keys if you want to ensure that you've got the vocabulary of Oscar down in all 12 keys.

Some added features are: performance videos, a biography and photograph sections that give you added comprehension of the jazz world of Oscar Peterson.
