5.0 out of 5 stars Helps take the anxiety out of separation, October 27, 2008
A clever approach to calming the nerves of both child and mother at an important time for both, Oscar the Pig reflects the insight of the author and gets right to the key issues and emotions. And who wouldn't love a pig named Oscar?

4.0 out of 5 stars New approach!, November 10, 2008
Megan's first book devotes its pages to the subject of separation anxiety. Whether you are a parent leaving your children to go to work, or placing them with a sitter for an out-of-town trip or a doctor's appointment, Oscar the Pig and his experience can be a help for your family.

Instead of simply responding to the sadness often felt by a child who is left behind (no matter how short a time), Megan instead focuses the reader (and those kiddos listening) on the imaginative and exciting adventure that Oscar the Pig takes with his "Nanny Tutu."

Colorful, simple and eye-catching illustrations, My littlest kidlet said - at the end of the book - "Momma, I go see Chow Chow too?"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, November 4, 2008
By SB8 (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
I got this for my sister who was going back to work after her second child. My sister read the book to her eldest, Lily, who was struggling with the change. The message (hidden to a four year old) resonated in the story and pictures and it quickly became Lily's favorite book.

Good uncle can't wait for more Oscar the Pig!
