I have been wanting to learn to play the guitar forever. So I spent a few hours researching beginner guitars on Amazon. I finally settled on this guitar and I am very happy with it! It's made in the USA, it sounds great to me and was easy to tune with the tuner I purchased at the same time. Being left handed did limit my choices but I'm used to that as I'm sure all lefties are. We lefties know we live in a right handed world but we manage to get by :)
I feel it's a great deal for the price. I do hope to become good at the guitar and upgrade at some point. But I would still keep this guitar as a back up.

A nice guitar. Came with nubone compensated saddle and nut... Quality touch. Nice Full binding body and neck, nice gloss finish...good quality control standards. Even bridge pins are sharp looking. For the $ it's way above a lot of others.
There was no adjust or tweak I found needed here... Maybe could drop the action a little tiny bit, sand a little off saddle base, but I'm fine with it...as is. all fret edges are clean and smooth, got a pretty sound with that nubone ring to them.
When I first saw online photo kinda thought bridge looked odd...but in real life it's sharp looking. Plays great looks and sounds 2x the price easy.

So far so good! was shipped super quick using prime. I purchased this for my son who just started playing. Guitar teacher gave it a thumbs up so no complaints so far. Sounds good and looks really nice!
Looks better in person too.

It's not well made. I've seen positive reviews of this item but what I got is completely different. The tuners don't hold the tune and when trying to tune it slips. the body looks well made but cannot tell how it sounds like in tune as it never tuned. So in bulk production i might got a bad unit and some people got a good unit.

Guitar was everything I wanted for a beginner. Being left handed was hard to find one--this did what it all.

When my daughter unwrapped the guitar Christmas morning, it had a large crack on the back of the body. We returned it. The second guitar arrived with a crack on the the front of the body. We returned that. The third guitar had a lot of scratches on the pick guard. I considered returning it, too — this was supposed to be a new instrument — but, by this time it was January and it was supposed to have been a Christmas present, so we kept it. In fairness, the return shipping for the first two was free and the replacements were sent promptly. I guess it’s remotely possible that all of this damage occurred during shipping. But I couldn’t help but feel that these were guitars that other people had returned and were then shipped to me in the hopes that I would keep a broken guitar.

For the price of this guitar the sound is really nice. Oscar Schmidt doesn't always give the best electric sound but its acoustics seem to be exceptional. Perfect for beginners. It was 100 cheaper than Fenders lefty.
