Oshlun’s new 2nd generation laser guide is the easiest and best way to turn your saw into a precision cutting machine. Installation is fast and easy, simply replace the outer blade flange with the laser unit. There are no confusing parts or adjustments. The laser guide provides a brighter, more accurate line on the left of the saw blade kerf and improves safety by showing you where the blade will cut. The centrifugal switch activates the laser automatically. Notes: If your saw has a 5/8-Inch threaded arbor shaft and uses a nut to secure the blade, this laser guide should fit. Will not fit some 12-Inch saws that have interlocking arbor flanges, including Rigid and ProTech.

I bought two of these for my Craftsman 10" radial arm saw. I replaced both the inner and outer arbor washers with the laser guides.....now I have a sharp, double laser line allowing easy setup on either side of the blade.

In order to use two laser guides, you will need to make sure your arbor shaft is long enough. If it can handle dado blades, it most likely is long enough. In this configuration, you will also need to make sure the blade clears the blade guard as the laser guide is most likely slightly thicker than the inner arbor washer. Be sure to check with the manufacturer of your saw for safety guidance.

Purchased this item for my Radial Arm Saw, not sure if there is any difference between this any other Miter Saw Arbor Laser version. Works great. With the laser directly over the line, the cut leaves/shaves the line. Easy to account for. The laser is bright enough to be easily seen in a well lit workshop. Exactly what I needed to cut my new stair treads. I have no basis for comparison to other models. This was the cheapest one on Amazon, and the only one I saw that specifically mentioned radial arm saws.

This guide is really handy for checking alignment. It seems a lot more accurate than dragging the blade along a square edge. It's really nice for cutting odd angles -- just align the beam with your pencil mark and you'll be dead on.
