5.0 out of 5 stars Music specifically created for Osho Kundalini Meditation
This music has been specifically created with Osho for the Osho Kundalini Meditation, one of the series of revolutionary "Active Meditations" described in Osho's book "Meditation: The First and Last Freedom," from St. Martin's Press and others, and also available from amazon.com. These Active Meditations are designed for the modern restless mind. They...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good if you already have some idea what to do with it
This CD was probably developed to go along with an OSHO book such as his book on meditation. There are 5 tracks or "stages" and no words so the listener is not guided during the musical stages. I would describe the music as electronic or digital. The 1st stage is composed of electronic beats that get more wildly energetic as the track progresses. It starts off with a...

This review is from: Osho Kundalini Meditation (Audio CD)
This music has been specifically created with Osho for the Osho Kundalini Meditation, one of the series of revolutionary "Active Meditations" described in Osho's book "Meditation: The First and Last Freedom," from St. Martin's Press and others, and also available from amazon.com. These Active Meditations are designed for the modern restless mind. They lead you from physical activity to an experience of silence. Other meditations in this series, each with its own music, and also available from amazon.com, are Osho Dynamic Meditation, Osho Nadabrahma Meditation and Osho Nataraj Meditation. Osho Kundalini Meditation has four stages of 15 minutes each, three with music and one without. The first stage: "Be loose and let your whole body shake, feeling energies moving up from your feet. Let go everywhere and become the shaking. Your eyes may be open or closed." The second stage: "Dance . . . any way you feel, and let the whole body move as it wishes." The third stage: "Close your eyes and be still, sitting or standing . . . witnessing whatever is happening inside and out." The fourth stage: "Keep your eyes closed, lie down and be still." It is great music and a great meditation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective ~ Enjoyable, August 28, 2008
This review is from: Osho Kundalini Meditation (Audio CD)
This music was designed specifically for Osho's Dynamic and Kundalini meditations. However, one does not need to be a man of meditation to enjoy this music.

First track - the effect of this is staggering. It begins with nervously chaotic chimes (?) and turns into an electrifying, energetic blast of pure spirit and feeling.

Second track - this is more wild and free. The eternal celebration, so to speak. A dance that never ends. To dance until the dancer is lost and only the dancing remains.

Third track - the true beauty of this album. It is contemplative at a much slower tempo than his younger brothers. A sense of the ancient-most eternity can be gleamed from the feeling that pervades this piece.

Fourth track - silence. And hell, what a silence it is!

This is a great CD to use at the end of the day, to get rid of any stress or negative energy you picked up throughout the day.

This review is from: Osho Kundalini Meditation (Audio CD)
This CD was probably developed to go along with an OSHO book such as his book on meditation. There are 5 tracks or "stages" and no words so the listener is not guided during the musical stages. I would describe the music as electronic or digital. The 1st stage is composed of electronic beats that get more wildly energetic as the track progresses. It starts off with a single beat and more add in making it more ecstatic. The 2nd stage is more musical and like an electric sitar with other digitized sounds and is energetic and is influenced by music from India. The 3rd stage is digital music that starts off somber and then moves into what I would call a more vibratory state, but not wildly energetic more reverential. The 4th stage is silence. The 5th stage is a short track that sounds like a temple bell being struck a few times. I would describe his CD as moving the listener through the wild excitement and ecstasy letting off any excess energy to a calmer state that is more sacred or reverential and into the silence of the cosmic or expanded mind, then the bell being struck to bring the listener back to ordinary reality. If you like ecstatic movement to release and then moving to stillness and silence this is a good set for that purpose.
