I just picked this CD last weekend on a recommendation. It is on the heaviest rotation of the stuff I picked up. I got the Sleepy Jackson Lover's, Louis XIV illegal tender and Muse's absolution. That's pretty good company you'd have to say. It isn't as clean or heady of any of them but it is catchy as hell.
Dopey sarcastic lyrics, ripping Ramonesque guitars, sick fretless base, straight up bratty beats, hammond organs and yes goofy handclaps. At first listen the music sounds like Cheap Trick, Cars, Billy Squire, Ramones, NY Dolls, Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks all at the same time, yeah maybe, but after a while you stop caring and push play again. Devin Moore's vocals sound a lot like Mac McCaughans of Superchunk but with more drive and a lot more snottiness. The entire band of Devin Moore, Brendon Moore (related I assume) and Jeff Fataille all play great. I know absolutely nothing about their pedigree except I think they are from Orlando. I just like the music. If you are sick of the hype surrounding bands like hot hot heat and the Strokes and just want to have some fun then buy the CD. Can't beat the price of 9.99. I gave it 5 stars because this CD for me is the opposite of crap. Is it classic maybe not but they did a real nice job and they deserve it. If you like rock but hate overproduced nu metal then you might dig this.

If you are into Cheap Trick or the Buzzcocks...or just good power pop in general, you need to pick this up. I can't get this out of my cd player!
