This is actually what sold me with Osprey.

My most recent trip with the pack was a 3 day trip through the eastern Sierras, and the pack served me well.

Had this pack fitted at a local store but found it much cheaper on amazon. Shipping was very fast. Great fit , light and durable. Plan on using it on my mt hood and Rainer climb this spring. Took it on a couple Short hikes already here on some hills in Fairbanks and am pleased with its fit and performance. Thanks!

I was comparing the Aether 85 and the 60 and was thinking that there wouldn't be near the room in the 60. Boy was I wrong. I don't know how big the 85 is but I was able to load too much in the 60. I'm new at backpack camping so I started out by just putting "everything" I thought I would need. Wow, I had 52 pounds in there. I then weeded out everything I really didn't need, bringing the weight down to a reasonable level. I mention that just to let folks know the capacity of this pack.

Every part of the pack feels high quality. But no worries if something fails. Osprey has an epic Craftsman hand tools style warranty for their packs. if it breaks-they fix it. Go to their website to learn more. This is actually what sold me with Osprey.

There is a sleeping bag compartment but you need an ultra compact sleeping bag to fit. I purchased one from Amazon around the same time I purchased this pack. It is around the size of a milk jug and it fits great.

if I have any problems with the pack, I will update this review.

I've been backpacking for about ten years, and although I wouldn't call myself an expert, I'm certainly no novice. I've had the pleasure of using Osprey packs in the past as well as Deuter, Gregory, The North Face, and Marmot packs. By far, this is the best pack I've ever used for overnight trips. Deuter and Gregory have always left me wanting for a more comfortable ride, and TNF and Marmot packs I've only used for day trips. My most recent trip with the pack was a 3 day trip through the eastern Sierras, and the pack served me well. I had no soreness from the pack itself on my shoulders or hips. The water bladder storage compartment is a piece of cake to reach for refills. And there's all sorts of utilitarian compartments on the outside of the pack so that you can keep hiking without having to take too many pit stops to dig through your pack. I would highly recommend for folks to at least go try one on at their local outdoor retailer to see if this pack suits your back as many times people's shapes dictate the brand pack more than anything else, but this pack definitely deserves a glance.

I'll make this short and sweet. This is an awesome pack, and a great company makes it. I only wish it were made in the USA, and I wish it had hip belt pockets. That said, there's not a thing wrong with this pack, it's very comfortable and breathes well along your back.
