Osprey Resource Warp Shoulder Bag
I have to say that this is not the most fashionable bag, but I do love it! I use it daily as a purse, and have never been more organized. The cell phone holder in the strap is ingenious; I don't know why more companies don't copy the idea! Gone are the days of digging through my bag to find my cell. There is also another small pocket that is at the top of the bag, and I use that for my ipod classic. I do wish that this bag were a little bigger; if you carry a lot of stuff, you might try the Warp as it is a bit larger. All in all, I love the bag and didn't want to return it. If I had a magic wand and could change one thing it would be this: that the bag were offered in more colors. I've seen other bags by this company and they have a really nice green that I dig, but it wasn't an option for this particular bag. The structure and organization make up for the lack of color choices.

Size Matters,

Having a carrier big enough to wag around a pool table is not always the ideal choice. This Osprey bag is small but extremely well made, light weight, and ideal for keeping your hands free while carrying about those few essential items you really want to have with you.
I discovered that this bag is perfect for carrying a Kindle DX. It is snug without pinching, so it carries my reader w/o allowing it to rattle about. At the same time, the bag is light enough that it does not overbear the things that it is carrying. It is very comfortable and convenient when I am walking downtown (3 miles each way) with an eye toward spending an evening listening to music and reading.

Great for Disc Golf & Day Hikes / Travel,

I purchased this bag for Disc Golf.
It offers all of the portability of a NutSac Disc Golf Bag and more functionality. FEATURES: + Under the flap are compartments for scorecard & pencils. + Inside the flap in the outer pocket, I store my keys on the clip, and have plenty of room to tuck in a few snack bars. + The water bottle holder is ample enough for a Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle. + The top has a small pocket where I keep 2 markers / minis, though it is large enough to hold other items. + On the back is a slot that is perfect for holding a putter. There is also a stabilizer strap if you care to use it. + The front strap has the cell phone holster, that easily fits my HTC EVO 4G Android Phone (Sprint) inside of its Seidio Innocase Holster Case Combo for HTC EVO 4G (Black) case. + On the side is another zipper compartment where I keep my sunglasses. It holds 6 discs comfortably in the main compartment. I have in there 2 midrange, 3 drivers, 1 approach. Then there's the putter in the back pocket as described previously. Even better, the bag is very light and can be used for a variety of purposes, including day hikes and travel. It is well designed and comes with the Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. I have used the bag for day hikes and travel and found it to be an excellent bag for that purpose, and more convenient and comfortable than fanny pack (lumbar pack) style bags in a similar price range. sunglass holder

I purchased this bag for my wife to use as a purse while lugging around our 3 month old son. She says its very comfortable with lots of pockets and storage options. Waist strap is handy, but the adjustment of the shoulder strap can keep it in place too.
We own other Osprey items and their quality is first class. Very functional bag that could serve many uses. Don't let the purse thing discourage any guys from ordering because it is a very cool man bag also.

This is a small sling bag. Nonetheless, the bag holds a lot of stuff.
The bag has several zippered compartments: 1. Zippered front flap to store keys (has tethered clasp inside the pocket) and small flat items; 2. Zippered side pocket that is the size and shape of a large pant pocket. Can hold a compact camera; 3. Zippered large top storage which can comfortably hold an iPad or uncomfortably an 11' Air (no padding!!!); 4. Zippered top pocket for a phone, iPod, or other similar sized object. The bag also has storage for a pen and cards under the front flip (nearly useless); a side netted pocket for a small water bottle; and a rather small velcro pocket on the strap and a back pocket for a magazine. All zippers have pulls on them and work well. The bag has a handle and the strap is somewhat comfortable (the comfort factor seems to differ from one person to the next). The strap also has channels that guide and protect your headphone wires. For all its pockets, this is a small bag. It is relatively flat, so it would be hard to overstuff. A great day bag for electronics and other small and flat items (This would not be a good bag for a full sized camera and lens or other bulky items). A quality nice and small bag!

A Great Daypack But a Little On The Small Side,

My co-worker has the Warp, and after research and admiration, I decided to purchase the Veer. As a person on the move, whether commuting or traveling for work or pleasure, I try to pack as light and as efficiently as possible. I bought this mostly as a bag that could be a "personal item" on an airplane, and transition into a pack that is unobtrusive when going on daytrips and sightseeing. I bought this in the Salmon color, and it's actually a fairly dark red.
What I really like about this bag is that it's structured. The materials are solid and it can "stand" on it's own, meaning the items in the bag stay where you put them instead of everything sinking to the bottom of the bag. It's also small and compact unlike my Coach tote I often use to commute which turns into a "blob" on my lap on public transport. I use this bag on days when I don't take my own lunch. The water bottle mesh pocket IS a bit small, but I have no issues with putting my .75L Camelbak water bottleCamelBak BPA-Free Better Bottle with Bite Valve in it. It's a tight fit, but it doesn't slip in and out and I dont have to worry about the bottle falling out. The Veer has one main compartment which easily holds my 2nd Gen Kindle, Planner, sunglasses, and a few other necessities. Although I dont personally use it for this, an iPad2 fits in the main compartment with room to spare. There's a small insulated zipper compartment which isn't really big enough for anything except for an apple, or a small bag of fruit. I use it for my keys. On the front of the bag, there is a flap that has a zippered compartment that is great for my work ID, my metro card, and chapstick & compact. The flap lifts up and there are places to put pens/pencils/nailfiles and business cards and such. There's also another small zippered pocket where I put my small wallet. The shoulder strap is comfortable as long as you carry the bag the right way, which took some time to get used to. It's not meant to be carried as a typical messenger at the side. It's meant to be carried at the small of your back, which is great for pushing through crowds during rush hour, but also great if you are a bike rider. The mp3/phone pocket wont fit anything much larger than an iPhone 3GS, but the headphone management tabs are great! My only major complaint is the easy acces "magazine pocket" on the back of the bag isn't actually big enough to hold a magazine without folding it. Which is fine with Entertainment Weekely, or Newsweek, but slightly more obnoxious with Cosmo or thicker magazines. It is big enough to hold a book or a Kindle if you wanted to put other stuff in the main compartment. Overall I like this bag a lot. It's great when traveling light. That being said, the magazine pocket IS an issue for me. I also thought more about how I travel and decided that having a a second pocket for room to carry a light jacket/hat and a few other "just in case" necessities, I recently ordered the WARP which will probably get more use on travel. The Veer is still great for days when all I need are the bare commuting necessities.

I ride 10mi each way to work a few times each week. I use the Veer to carry a tablet, kindle and my phone (which runs a GPS tracking app to record my rides). The various pouches and pockets carry all the power supplies and cables that go with those gadgets, with room left for a smaller drink bottle and a snack. The bag's strap is comfortable enough and the overall weight is small enough that it's barely noticeable as I ride. It's also easy to swivel around and pull out the phone if I get a call thanks to how the phone pouch is placed on the strap. Overall it's proven lighter and easier to put up with than the Timbuk and Crumpler small-sized bags I tried before it. If your goal is to only carry a few specific things and not just cram a messenger bag with a week's work of stuff, this bag is perfect.
So far the bag has put up with a notable amount of abuse without any rips or snags. The zippers don't come open on their own even though one of the smaller ones on the side zips upwards; I've never lost anything on my rides. While it doesn't have much edge padding (I wouldn't trust it to protect the tablet in a drop where it landed on its side) the flat part against your back has plenty, keeping it comfortable even when a bit overloaded. On days when I need to commute with a laptop instead I can (just barely) fit an 11" Macbook Air in it instead of the tablet, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. For must-have-laptop days I swap to one size bigger Osprey Resource bag, their 'warp', which can fit a 13" normal laptop if needed. I had the warp first and it's held up so well that it convinced me to buy the Veer for when I didn't have to carry the laptop every day. While it does have a 'purse-like' feel it's just fine for a guy when worn on the back. The angular looks keep it from having too much of a handbag-vibe. Amusing side note: my friend bought one of these on my recommendation and had it for a full month before he realized the pull-up flap and mid-pockets were there. He had no idea about them until he picked the bag up just the right way and the velcro opened. :) It's got more storage than you'd think!

If you lug around a camera (bulky), an iPad (tall & wide) and other tech items, as well as sunglasses, this bag is perfect. A little military-looking but just the right size. Zippers and pockets abound. There is even an unobtrusive but expandable water bottle net on the exterior. A zippered pocket near the strap holds an iPod or iPhone with small guides up the strap for the earbud cord. Clever for those of us that seem constantly wired. No reservations - this is a great bag.

Perfect size. I was shocked to find the front is a velcro flap and under it, you get another zippered pocket and places for pens. The pocket for your water bottle, (I'd swear is insulated) I put an energy drink in there and hours later it was still cold. The padded strap is very comfy, and the pocket on the strap for your MP3 player, holds my iphone (but nothing larger) and with "80% recycled content" I'm never unhappy with Osprey!!!

Luv it! It's the perfect little bag. Holds my wallet, keys, glasses, etc. The phone case on the strap is too small for my phone, so I use it to hold my reusable shopping bag.
