Product Description

Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM for dogs

Osteo-Pet Total Joint Care Formula offers the latest proven science in a tasty treat your dog will love.

While the original Osteo Pet glucosamine chondroitin for dogs formula has been extremely successful, many owners are looking for the latest nutraceuticals for dogs, including those which can help reduce joint inflamation. The NEW OsteoPet Total Joint formula contains the core ingredients, glucosamine for dogs and chondroitin for dogs and well as:

Hyaluronic Acid for dogs is a non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan distributed widely throughout the connective joint tissue found in knees, elbows and other joints. It is a primary component of the synovial fluid lubricant found in all bendable type joints.

Green-lipped mussels for dogs are another source of high levels of glycosaminoglycans, which help assist in the repair of damaged joint tissues.

Vitamin C for dogs may sound redundant because unlike humans, dogs can produce their own vitamin C internally. But, during stressful times like injury, pain or joint cartilage damage, it's beneficial to offer your dog a backup supply of antioxidants like Vitamin C.

Another powerful antioxidant for dogs is Vitamin E. Vitamin E can decrease the production of prostaglandins and leukotreines. This offers anti-inflammatory benefits to your dog's joint pain.

Collagen is the main protein of connective tissue in dogs and animals. Connective tissue, like cartilage, is the primary component of synovial joints.

Essential Fatty Acids for Dogs can help decrease painful inflammation in joints.

Boswellia is a natural anti-inflammatory for dogs used to help with swollen joint inflammation.

Proudly made in the USA. 180ct & 720ct sizes available. Also available in soft chew form.

It was interesting to read the previous poster's comment regarding MSM. My vet told me to make certain that MSM was part of the concoction while looking for Glucosamine, Chondroitin supplements for my dogs.

I researched MSM and found the following statement: MSM is a natural sulfur-containing compound produced by kelp in the ocean. Sulfur is stored in almost every cell in the body. The highest concentrations are found in joints, hair, skin, and nails. MSM is claimed to be an antioxidant, cell rejuvenator, and joint healer. (was found in Fosters and Smith's Pet Education)

I'll leave it to the readers to make their own judgment. I will ensure that my dogs have MSM as part of their supplement.

Yes. I think this osteo-pet total joint care for dogs is amazing. My vet prescribed me the same thing for my German Shepherd's hind legs...but it was more expensive. Double the price!!! This Osteo-pet works wonder and for half a price. I did my research and found that everything was the same just that the name was different. Definitely recommended for dogs with joint pain.

We've tried several different products to provide the glucosamine/chondroitin that our vet says our aging pooches need. The dogs like these chewable wafers, but there are only 60 in the bottle for $25. Since both of our dogs weigh more than 60 pounds, they are supposed to take 3 a day. At that rate, the bottle will last less than a month. We're still looking for the ideal product--one that the dogs will take without a hassle, and that costs less per dose than this one does.

My dogs love these things. I pick up the jar while they are asleep 3 rooms away and they come running. The dog I bought them for has not had a single hip issue since.

My dog had torn his CCL (which is the equivalent of a human ACL or knee cap). He was limping for over three months after his surgery to repair the tear. My vet recommended a glucosamine suppliment and after doing my research I saw great reviews for this product. We tried it and its been almost two years later and my dog is back to his normal crazy self, he runs, jumps, and loves to retrieve his ball. It is so great to have him back to his normal 7 year old self. I usually mix the pill in with his food, but he'll eat it plain too. I would highly recommend this product.

Our golden retriever was having real problem with his right hip, following surgery for an ACL injury. Already suffering some degree of dysplasia and arthritis, the surgery seemed to have exacerbated his hip problems, probably due to the shift of weight and gait during the process of healing.

The bottom line was that his hip was clearly causing him discomfort. We tried a variety of prescription and nonprescription medications, to no avail. After two weeks on Osteo-Pet, he is markedly improved. His mobility is noticeably better, and he's begun running (okay, trotting), something we hadn't seen in months.

Since we've also changed him over to a raw diet, it's possible that the Osteo-Pet supplement isn't wholly responsible for his significant improvement, but it does seem to be coincidental with the exact time frame that we started on the product. I'd recommend trying it; different regimens work with different dogs. Osteo-Pet worked for us.

My 9 year old pitbull was starting to cry out in pain from arthritis every once in a while, so I had been giving him Rymadyl on an as-needed basis. As the flare-ups became more frequent, I became concerned about the long-term side effects of the drug. I had tried other flavored glucosamine supplements, but he refused to eat them, and most were difficult to crush in his food. This product is very easy to crumble into his food every morning (he won't eat these plain either) and he is none the wiser! The best part is that we noticed an improvement within just a few days-- it must be the combination of ingredients that does the trick.

Josie (13) and Tippy (14) have been taking these tablets for almost a month. I've observed enough improvement that I have just placed an order for the 720 count item. Josie eats a tablet as a treat. Tippy doesn't like the taste. However, she loves tahini. With a dab of tahini, she swallows the tablet whole. For Josie, this is a preventive measure. Tippy, after about two weeks, started getting into and out of her bed more easily, walking more steadily, and going up and down the four steps from the deck to the yard without struggling and falling on her bum so much. Yes, she is a senior dog (only 23 pounds) but yes, these tablets seem to be improving her current quality of life.
