I was a little concerned about how this juicer would measure up to our stronger wattage one which was heavy to lift down from an upper cupboard, the pitcher was way too large, and the pitcher handle had broken off. I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Am very satisfied with this Oster 3186.

We have an orange tree and I had buckets of oranges. This juicer made short work of it. Small, compact, easy to store. Easy to wash. Everyone should have one.

This is a great little juicer. Reasonably priced and works really well. We have lemon and orange tree and use it often. It is perfect for our needs.

This Oster Orange Juice squeezer is easy to use, to clean and works very well to squeeze a few oranges daily for a couple of 6-8 ounce glasses of juice. Because it has a light duty motor requiring a two minute rest after four continuous minutes of use (per the instruction manual) it is not recommended for heavy duty squeezing.

This juicer seems to work well, but beware that it is NOT 150 Watts, as the advertisement says. Instead, the motor is only 20 Watts, as stated on the bottom of the juicer.

had the black and decker juicer and lost the top part...so I thought I'd try the Oster. It is SO MUCH BETTER. The reason is the base doesn't move when you juice. The b & D you had to constantly hold the base and squeeze which was VERY tiring. Highly recommend for your margaritas...we use 1 part fresh lime juice, 1 part tequila (the clear tequila, not the gold) and 3/4 part triple seq..and sugar to your taste. Blend it up with ice and you are good to go!

I should first say that I haven't been much of a fan of low end kitchen appliances. I'm no kitchen elitist but I hate wasting money on poor products.
That being said, I am thoroughly impressed by this little citrus juicer. It's got a strong motor that juices fruit very quickly. Using the strainer is convenient and completely non-messy. I thought that the little pitcher was a clever selling ploy but it's actually useful. You can switch from juicer to server instantly. The washable parts disassemble and clean very simply. I love this thing. It turned out to be a great buy. Who knew? That's one up for Oster in my book.

I use this little electric juicer to juice about three oranges each morning, and for that application, it's about perfect. That gives me a nice, small glass of juice. I suspect it would be able to make a nice, small glass of juice for an average-sized juice-drinking family as well. Please note, however, that the manual says not to use it for more than 4 minutes at a time, and that it needs 2 minutes of rest after 4 minutes of continuous juicing. So: not so great for a huge brunch, for example.

It's easy enough to clean, though note that none of the parts are supposed to go in the dishwasher. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that I don't really understand the lid. It seems to serve no function -- other than to make it look more attractive if you keep it on the counter, I guess.

This juicer is the best out of the ones that have their own container, but the ones that are simply juicers and you have to put a glass next to them for the juice to go into are more powerful and you can juice for longer. The bad things about this one is that 1- you can see the level of juice only on one side of the container
2- it does not change spinning direction easily, you often need to push and release the fruit many times to get the extractor to spin the other way.
3- obviously its much louder than a manual citrus press.

This juicer has been the most perfect purchase. I bought it to make my diet lemonade (1 lemon, 4 packets Splenda, 20 ounces water.) It is just the perfect size, easy to operate and to clean, plus light-weight and easy to keep under counter or put away. One of the little perks is that when you are juicing the lemon, then lift it off, when you press it back on, the juicer turns the opposite direction - you feel you are getting every ounce of juice. I love it - what more can I say?
