Well, I really liked this toaster when I got it. It works well and I liked the design. I've only owned it for about a year and a half. It's not like I make toast every morning, so imagine my surprise when it completely stopped working for no apparent reason yesterday. It's outside of the manufacturer's one year warranty, but it has probably been used less than 20 times. I would not purchase another Oster toaster.

Danger. Be aware.,

Think twice before buying this toaster, especially if you have smaller children. The sides get extremely hot, hot enough to give blistered burns. There is a lift lever that is supposed to raise items to a safer height but it only raises them a fraction of an inch, not enough to safely remove bagels or english muffins.

It looks nice. If you use the black rim around the bottom for moving the toaster, it prevents fingerprints on the stainless steel body.It does get hot. I love the Frozen button feature; works great for waffles. Toasts everything great. I think the extra lift slide for getting toast high enough to grab is a little strange, but half the time the toast pops right out of the toaster anyway. I like this one better than my last 4 slot Krups toaster.
