Along with its sleek, contemporary styling, this four-slice toaster from Oster features two extra-long slots that can accommodate up to four slices at a time. The two slots also offer extra-wide clearance, which means they can accommodate a variety of toast-able favorites, anything from thick cinnamon-raisin bagel halves, frozen waffles, or hamburger buns to English muffins or hearty slices of artisan-style whole-wheat bread. Choose from one of three modes with a simple press of the button: Toast, Bagel (toasts just the cut side), or Frozen (defrosts before toasting). The user-friendly control panel also offers a dial for adjusting the shade setting from one to seven for light to dark results. Simply add the food to be toasted and push down on the bread-carriage lever. Dual auto-adjusting stainless-steel bread guides center the food for even browning on both sides, and after the desired level of darkness has been reached, the food will pop up automatically. The toaster's high-lift lever raises toasted items high enough for safe retrieval, while a Cancel button allows for ending the session at any time. Other highlights include handy indicator lights below the three buttons, advanced toasting technology to ensure consistency, an anti-jam function with automatic shut-off, cord storage to keep countertops looking tidy, and a removable dishwasher-safe crumb tray for quick cleanup. This toaster works as expected, but isn't quite as long as needed to toast four slices of slightly larger than normal bread. It works to do that if you have standard sandwich bread, but if you have something just a bit wider, you're back to being able to do only two at a time. However, since it is long, you can toast breads that wouldn't fit in a regular toaster at all.

I love the lift lever so if you have smaller pieces, you can still get them out. There are some minor features they could add, but then the price point wouldn't be so nice.

I have had this toaster for a year and have been unhappy with it for almost as long. At first glance, it seems to "have it all" but don't be fooled. I love it's sleek, white appearance. That's about all I like about it. The cord is at best 24 inches long and when placed on the counter next to the plug-in, the cord has to reach from the right hand side, under the toaster to plug into the wall. It is a tight squeeze to have the working end within reach and not turned to the wall (that is when placed against the left wall facing the working end of the toaster).
Most often, the heating elements do not begin to heat unless the spring loaded handle is pushed down gingerly and held until I can see the red of the warmed elements. Often this takes several failed attempts. I can then anticipate that no matter where the range is set, the toast will be grossly underdone or burned on the edges if a light brown toast is desired. After every use, if I lift the toaster, there are crumbs beneath that failed to be captured by the tray. I recently hosted a Spanish speaking guest for a week. It was all I could do to explain to her how to make toast in the morning as I was off to work by the time she was ready for school. I think she gave up and made fried bread rather than try to follow my detailed instructions that no one should ever have to make. After all, it is just a toaster. Don't waste your money!

I bought this toaster because it was wide and long. I make a lot of my own bread and needed something to toast it. But it doesn't seem to matter what kind of bread I put in it, or bagels, it burns in the center of the toaster every single time. And the outside is barely toasted.. I do not like this toaster, and would not recommend it to anyone.
