I've only had this blender for about 5 days but I am very impressed. I like how it has an all-metal drive. The main reason we bought the blender was to make smoothies, malts and mixed drinks. We have made the later two so far and I'm extremely impressed with how it pulverizes the ice. I also like how there is a frozen drink setting that does everything including reversing the blades. We bought the additional milkshake blade and I am extremely impressed with that as well. I don't know about durability since I just got it but it seems to be really well made. It is fairly loud when blending ice. I expected this though so I wouldn't consider that a downside. I would recommend this to anyone. By far the best blender I have had.

We had read good reviews of this product and purchased it based on those reviews. Powerful, but quiet. They were on the money! It is very quiet and powerful, except for the highest speed. It works good for blending drinks, but really good when preparing veggies for soup etc. No regrets-excellent performance.

Purchased as a gift for my wife who uses it daily. She is very pleased with the blender particularly the pre-programmed settings. Looks great, occupies small foot print and is easy to clean.

This blender has a pre-programmed setting for frozen drinks that is amazing! It automatically reverses the direction of the blades in the beginning of the program which mixes the ice and liquids together so that the ice can be crushed in the speed phase of the program. If you want to make your own frozen drinks without spending $400 for a professional blender give this a try. The one thing I have noticed is that it requires about 6 oz of liquid to get going properly. If you are not successful in the beginning try adding your ice in two batches and see what happens. I bought this for specifically this purpose and could not be happier. It's a great value and no more ice blocks in my frozen protein shakes!!!

My husband and I love smoothies made with LOTS of ice. My old blender really had to work to make one so we decided to get a new blender. I spent several days reading reviews and trying to decide which one to buy. Finally decided on this one based of positive reviews regarding ice-crushing ability.

This blender is GREAT! There is a one touch button for smoothies and it literally pulverizes ice in moments--perfect smoothie every time!

I've had a number of blenders over the course of 40+ years but his one is, without doubt, the best of the lot. I also purchased an Oster ice crusher blade which is fantastic for smoothies and slushies.

I purchased this blender after looking around awhile at various brands. My Cuisinart crapped out on me - I had to beat it on the base to get it to blend - the lights stopped working. So, time for a new blender. This Oster is awesome! You won't be disappointed. It blends frozen drinks (smoothies) fruit and whatnot so well. It doesn't leave chunks in your smoothie. I love the auto settings; it blends it just enough. For the price, this thing rocks!

Sleek, stylish, this is one cool looking blender and it does the job.

I use this blender every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. It is awesome at making smoothies. As long as you add enough liquid, you don't have to stir it or shake it to get it to thoroughly blend the whole thing. It will finely blend ice and doesn't leave any chunks. I've been using it for about a month now and so far I've had no problems. If you are looking for an easy way to start eating healthier, I recommend getting a blender and start making smoothies. This is a great blender for less than a third of the price of the super-fancy-pants vitamix or blendtec blenders.

After reading "mixed" reviews about almost all blenders, I wasn't sure what might replace my dead appliance. This Oster seemed to have enough power and was in my price range, so I took the plunge. When I'm making a smoothie, I expect to pause, remove the top, and push ingredients down a few times (with a spatula of course), so this blender works just as expected. I liked the moderately price replacement parts and attachments, the glass jar, the the easy clean parts and surface. I haven't used it for long, but fortunately, my only niggle is that it still has too many buttons.
