I ordered this kit with the Amazon Gift Card that I got for Christmas .. And I love it !
The order came quicker than I expected. And the colour is bold and bright .. perfect for you and your horse :D

The Stiff Grooming brush is great at getting the mud off your horse. This is really great if your horse enjoys splashing in mud like my own does . And I don't find it collects that much hair like everyone else said .. but maybe thats just my horse .

The Fine Curry Comb is amazing at getting those little particles of dust out from under your horses coat . And my horse loves it on his tummy and neck ! And its easy to clean too !

The Mane and Tail Brush/comb get those tough knots out without me tugging on my horse's hair . They are really big and easy to hold too ; so you get a good grip while brushing .

The Hoof Pick is durable and doesn't bend however it DOES NOT have a brush which is a Con .. but I can live with that . It gets the hard mud out without fuss.

The Medium Face Brush is great at getting the food and mud off his face without hassle .. :) And its big and thick too !

The bag has individual slots yes .. but I don't feel the need to put it back in .. IT stores everything great if you just chuck it in .. after your done and hangs nicely on the stands after :)

This was a gift for my daughter. We've bought this brand grooming supplies before, and they make my favorite ones ever. The brushes go through the worst tangles in a horses mane and tail easily. This is my pick to groom even my three shelties. They are also very comfortable in my hand. Daughter loved the bag to hold it all, and the pink color, not only trendy, helps her know which stuff is hers. The guys don't seem to want to borrow these. I would highly recommend this kit, it's a favorite.

Oster horse products are great. The price Amazon offered beat the horse shops in my area. Don't try to buy these brushes individually! I did that (locally) for my other daughter last year and paid so much more!!! As usual, Amazon shipping is so fast. Was a great Christmas gift for my 15 yr. old horse crazy daughter. Having the tools in a nice tote is great for people like us who lease a horse at a large stable. We can keep these tools in our car.

I got this as a gift a few years ago and loved it so much I bought it for my niece. While the brushes aren't my absolute favorite, my horse loves the curry and I love the main and tail brush. They're easy to throw in the trailer because of the carry bag. I think it's a great starter kit for any horse owner.

The bag is easy to carry around, plenty of room inside for the brushes and also a couple extra pockets (my daughter keeps horse treats and her riding gloves in the extra pockets. The brushes are fantastic, very nice and comfortable to hold. The horses seem to enjoy the brushes as well. And to top it off, it's pink!

Great grooming supplies! I have found my new favorite brand for grooming tools! Well made and very durable they are also easy to clean. I love the pink too. The bag is the only letdown for me. I just don't find it practical. I just picked up a grooming tote and its perfect! You might also want to invest in the Oster dandy brush sold separately. I also bought the coarse rubber curry and the sweat scraper. The kit is a really good deal because it is way more expensive to buy each brush individually.

I bought this set for a friend of mine who has a young warmblood mare, who she says is femine to the core. What better gift? She says the items are very durable and attractive, and of good quality, and my friend is enjoying them immensely.

I was drawn to the ergonomic shape of these brushes and the fact that it was presented in a nice neat package. Just goes to show that I didn't have a clue about decent brushes.

First thing you will wind up doing is throwing out the bag because you will probably get a real brush box. You are going to want to spend your time actually riding your horse rather than taking the time to try to put these back in their individual slots.

Second, the hoofpick does not have a brush and having the brush on the other side of the hoofpick makes a big difference in being able to get the grunge out from under your horse's shoes (assuming they are not barefoot).

The synthetic bristles of the hardbrush do ok and I have to admit, they tend to stay cleaner than regular bristles. I finally cleaned all my brushes this past weekend because I was getting more dirt ON the horse than I was getting off and by far, the synthetic bristles had the least amount of dirt coming off.

The main-pulling come is useless -- I assume it isn't really for main pulling because the teeth break off the first time you try to pull some main. So you can throw that out too.

However, this brush set is durable and it feels good in your hand -- though because of the rounded smooth shape, sometimes it will come flying out as you press harder against your horse.

All in all, this set looks nice and you think "wow -- the perfect brush set for my perfect new horse" (I have the blue since I have a gelding, though!). But as you actually start using them, you realize you are better off buying the brushes individually that you need and not going for the pretty package.
