This mixer is fine. I get a kick out of the storage case. It reminds me of a suitcase. I guess they provide it in case I want to travel with it. I never leave the state without my hand mixer! All kidding aside, the mixer is very powerful. The only drawback is the eject button is somewhat hard to use. The beaters don't want to eject easily.

I purchased this mixer a year ago and couldn't be happier with its performance. It is lightweight, sufficiently powerful, comes with an assortment of beaters and has a nice carrying case to keep everything together so there is no rummaging about in the utensil drawer trying to locate the beaters.

A hand mixer does things that a stand mixer simply can't do. It is just easier to mash (not puree where a blender or food processor is needed) a pot of pea soup or mashed potatoes in the pan it cooked in rather than pour the contents into a stand mixer bowl. And, for mixing small quantities, it is impractical to use a large stand mixer where most of the small batch ends up stuck on the beater and sides of the large bowl.

My last hand mixer shorted-out in a spectacular blaze of sparks and noisy popping. The mixer was ten years old and it was fortunate I wasn't injured. The electrical cord was not shielded properly at the point where it exits the plastic housing of the mixer chassis. I didn't notice, but over time the rough edge of the plastic cut through the cord. I was lucky, although I remain surprised that this serious safety flaw passed inspection. Obviously I checked to ensure this Oster mixer has protection at that vulnerable point.

When I began shopping for a new hand mixer I read the reviews on the higher priced models, intending to buy one that would last, but they seemed to have an assortment of issues along with a short life-span. This moderately priced unit had everything I needed, along with a carrying case. I made the purchase in a warehouse store.

This mixer is designed for light weight tasks - not mixing three batches of cookie dough which will strain even the most powerful stand mixers. But, if light duty -- mashed potatoes, mashing up some soup, whipping up some eggs, etc. -- is what's required, this mixer will do the job.

I got this for my wife and she really enjoys it. It is very powerful. We haven't had any issues with it. The price is right on this one. I would suggest it to anyone.

Easy to use and compact. Love that it all fits in a convenient size storage bag. The ejector button for the beaters can be a little tricky but otherwise it does it's job well and it has certainly made many cup cakes since it joined our family.

I am so happy with my new Oster hand mixer. The case makes it so easy to handle and know where all the attachments are. The long mixers make it just perfect for mashing that deep pan of potatoes your getting ready to mash. I'm really glad I found this product.

I only use this mixer for some light baking, but it has always worked well for me. It has lots of power, and I usually never need to use it above the 2nd or 3rd speed mode. It's easy to clean and store. Does the trick for me!

This mixer is great. It does everything I need it to do and was an awesome deal. I like that it has a carring case, too. Would definately buy this for others.

This was a gift for my older brother, who needed a little hand-held. He really liked the blender, but the case had to go!

This mixer has served me well making everything from small pancake batches to large cakes and numerous whipped cream bowls.

It is just fine. The case is an interesting touch.

Our kitchen is gradually filling in with new small appliances. The latest addition is an Oster six-speed Hand Mixer. Well, it's something that is needed now and then, or so the wife says, and she demonstrated by making some wonderful mashed potatoes. In addition, she's mixed up a couple batches of muffins and some cookies. I suspect it will get it's share of use along with our much larger Kitchen Aid blender/mixer/grinder, etc. The mixer comes with a nice, very convenient storage case. Both the mixer and all the accessories that go with it only occupy a small space in our crowded kitchen cabinets.

The mixer is a nice looking appliance and was reasonable in cost. I works well, but we haven't owned it but for a couple months. From anything I can tell, at this point I'd rate it five stars. However, we're all familiar with small appliances that look and run well for the first couple months and then are handed over to the thrift shop. However, my feelings are positive on this one and my wife really likes it.
