5.0 out of 5 stars Great massager
This massager is great! We had one for 21 years and it finally wore out; I hope the new one lasts as long. It is so easy to massage sore muscles -no requirement for strength or repetitive motion (thus hurting muscles) by the person giving the massage. Only have to place your hand over the sore muscles while attached to the massager. The only negative is that the wire...

3.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable, but creates nice massage
I got this as a birthday present for my husband, who had seen it at the barber shop he goes to. He loved it when the barber used it so much, that we went around trying to buy one too. However, the supply stores said we needed a license to get one. Finally- found it on Amazon, but after trying it out, we are unhappy with the way it fits on the hand, namely, the knuckles...

The only negative is that the wire coils don't fit a woman's hand very well -- I have to readjust the fit every minute or two because the vibration causes it to come loose. It's not a major thing -- I highly recommend the massager as being easy and painless to use, while achieving great results.

I got this as a birthday present for my husband, who had seen it at the barber shop he goes to. He loved it when the barber used it so much, that we went around trying to buy one too. However, the supply stores said we needed a license to get one. Finally- found it on Amazon, but after trying it out, we are unhappy with the way it fits on the hand, namely, the knuckles. The vibrating is nice for the person getting the massage, but the springy straps that you use to attach it to your hand cause discomfort. I wish the straps were a more comfortable rubber or cloth covered, rather than tightly wound coil. These cause the massager to bob around and hit against your hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Massager, December 16, 2008

Much quieter than the old one. Still comes with a cord of considerable length. And still gives the best massage. Hope it lasts as long if not longer than the old one.

5.0 out of 5 stars useful, February 27, 2009
My last Oster lasted almost 15 years of continuous use (almost every day) before breaking down. So having to decide for this model again was no brainer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacks power, faulty wiring/cord, February 17, 2010
This review is from: Oster Professional 103 Stim-U-Lax Massager (Health and Beauty)
I got this because the 1930s model that I had from a yard sale had a rubber pad that was wearing thin. The first thing I noticed was the lack of power. You can feel/hear this as you apply pressure on an area you are massaging. The motor strains and you get no more vibration than before applying pressure. Worse, after less than a year I started getting shocks from the unit! I couldn't believe it. The ancient one I had didn't have either of these problems even though it was smaller and had the original cloth-covered cord with an unpolarized two-prong plug. Really disappointing. The old one is ALL metal throughout. This one is mostly plastic. Even the "chrome" parts. This is definitely NOT your grandfather's Stim-U-Lax. Too bad . . .

I am very happy with this massager, both it's operation/results and the dealings with the supplier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than other sex toys, January 1, 2011
This review is from: Oster Professional 103 Stim-U-Lax Massager (Health and Beauty)
The other night giveing my lady friend a massage I was useing a warm lotion and really letting her have a full enjoyable massage. I was in some of the more intimate areas and she could not believe how wonbderful this felt. She wanted me to continue even though I felt a little embarrassed. She just had the most pleasure she felt for a long time.
If your partner could be comfortable with you and this massager then this opens a whole new world of enjoyment. I give this 5 stars and really enjoy this product. If you have a hard time holding it you can try a little velcro wrapped around your hand (but not to tight to cut off circulation) it helps to hold it in place for those with small hands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, July 10, 2009
A good product, worth the price. Arrived sooner than expected. The only drawback is that the springs used to hold the device onto your hand are too big for my wife's hands and they can cause some discomfort. The machine has a great vibrating action that gives you a wonderful massage. I like the fact that you can use it on yourself, shoulders, neck, head and legs without help from anyone else. Just what I was shopping for and from a good name, Oster.

5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING!, May 28, 2009

This unit is outstanding and timeless. It has pretty much been the same design for as long as I can remember since I was a child. Even my barber use this to massage my head to stimulate my scalp when I was a kid. It's just the best there is bar none!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST, January 7, 2011
This review is from: Oster Professional 103 Stim-U-Lax Massager (Health and Beauty)
Not the perfect but there is nothing like it on the massage market; wear it on hand and put the hand on any skin and watch the reaction of the person receiving your massage; you will see what gratitude means. Highly recommended. It makes massage therapists obsolete.
