1.0 out of 5 stars Not Helpful at All, March 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ostrich: (Cabi) (Hardcover)
This was the most useless book I've ever bought. It had no real information about Ostriches that could be used by anyone interested in them. It was basically a survey of how Ostriches were raised around the world, but with no information on which techniques were good or bad, and nothing on what worked well or not. Anyone truly interested in knowing about how to raise ostriches appropriately would better invest their money and time to visit an ostrich breeding/raising farm and ask the farmer yourself. This book was a waste of money and time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ostrich biology is a blast., May 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ostrich: (Cabi) (Hardcover)
This is an academic tritise on Ostrich biology and form, and I found it to be quite interesting, scientifically sound, and illustrated well.

As a teacher I have recommended this book to both my students and my colleagues.
