Texaco shawty, sun valley shawty, bouldercrest shawty, bomb in da bushes, calamari pasta, zebra back fries man all dat good stuff!

I know OJ Da Juiceman is probably the most hated rapper EVER...the hate is way worse than when Shawty Lo debuted two years ago. I'll fill in for the haters now though. OJ Da Juiceman has no depth at all, all he raps about is chains, money, and selling drugs. He sometimes makes no sense and has a very simplistic commercial appeal to his lyrics. His adlibs are stupid and his high pitched voice is terrible.

Most, if not all, of these things are true. When he's rapping you can guarantee it won't be too long before he's back to counting money, stunting in the club, chains, how fly he is, servin the babies, smokin kush, eating calamari or ridin rims. He uses those adlibs AYE, OK for every song.

Technically the guy is terrible. BUT, I just cannot stop listening to this album! There's a reason you can find him on tracks rapping with Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, and Jadakiss. Even though technically he's wack...he's original and brings his own style and flavor to the tracks. I've had The OthaSide of the Trap for about 3 months and most of the songs were released last year via mixtape but I still love almost every moment of it. Beats are on fire, lyrics are catchy, the flow is appropriate. OJ Da Juiceman simply put is entertaining. Sometimes you can't exactly put your finger on why you like something you just do. But that also makes him polarizing as well. Either you like him or you don't. Songs like I'm Gettin Money, I Be Trappin, Make The Trap Aye, Washing Powder, Cop A Chicken are just fun to listen to even if the subject matter is about as materialistic and shallow as it can get. There's not one reflective sentence on the entire album...not one...but it's STILL JAMMIN!

I aint gon say something crazy like this album has something for everybody and anybody who likes rap music can like this album. No, it is very much an acquired taste (1. for southern music, 2. for party music) and a mood album only to be played at appropriate times. But if you can rock with any of his songs then you will also like the album.

Maaaan, Boy. I dunno how i got into this record. It's def not somethin i would normally be feelin. I dont listen to any of that ATL trappin' sh** like Jeezy, T.I., & whoever. I'm a Texas boi who loves the legends like UGK, Ball N G, GB, Face, Outkast, Screwed Up Click, Three 6, ect....But!! After hearin a couple tracks at a party, i decided to just go out and buy the album. Maaan, this sh** isn't anything special, it's just a fun record. Somethin' to throw back liquor to and get a little buck. It ain't crunk, but it's AYE!!!!! OK? Just check it out, man

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an actual studio album, and it's great., August 4, 2010

OJ knows what he's doing. If you look on the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office website, sure enough, there goes Otis. Mugshot and everything, MULTIPLE felonies. All for drugs and robbery. The man is as real as they come. You can hear it in his music. Put this album on and go blast it with your windows down as you drive through the hood. You get automatic street cred. This man will have you straight vibin' to his music. It has to be heard to be understood. Give it a chance and just feel the vibes. You'll fall in love with it, and become addicted to listening to it.

I like this cd. I didn't actually buy it for myself. I bought it for my son. Next time I'll get the clean version. My son was bugging me to get him one of OJ's cds, so I didn't take the time to get him the clean version. OJ's music is one of the best in the rap industry. His down south country swagger gets me hooked on his lyrics every time I hear his voice, and my son really likes his music too. So, I would recommend this cd for grown-ups. But get the kids the clean version.
