This review is from: Does It Rain in Other Dimensions? A True Story of Alien Encounters (Paperback)
This book starts a bit slowly, the author mostly limiting himself to referring to multifarious sightings of lights in the sky and so on and recounting enjoyable childhood experiences having nothing to do with UFOs or aliens. However, the book soon speeds up and presents fascinating descriptions of unusual direct experiences.

At the age of four (in 1955) Mike conveys a startling message to his mother - that his real parents are in space, that something of great umportance is going to happen on Earth in his lifetime but not in hers (it turns out she dies in 1993) and that it had to do with a vast change in global consciousness, which was the reason why he was here. (One must admit that this prediction was pretty accurate.)

From an early age he was frequently visited by a friendly tiger who peacefully stood at the end of his bed at noght. This turned out to be one of the forms of a "Space Brother" of his called Tellos, who got into a habit of appearing, especially at times of need. He saw the man clearly - he had long flowing silver hair and wore a shiny one-piece suit that glowed in the dark. He communicated telepathically with Mike and radiated love.

Later in life Mike is able to call UFOs to him at will, for example, in order to let unbelieving friends (including his scepticak Dad and girlfriend) experience a sighting so their scepticism could be dissolved.

In the book Mike expresses his frustration with the fact that the British authorities and media try to suppress all reports of sightings and contacts experienced by thousands of people in the UK, though many other countries regularly report on all these things, and some even have weekly TV shows on the subject. Moreover, an amazing 5 1/2 minute "space messge" commmunicated over the TV by a being called Gramaha, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, was not reported by the press. In the message this being warned of the impending awakening of Earth telling us that what happened would depend on what we did to avert the experiments with nuclear energy and prevent wastes from stomic power stations. We should learn to listen to the voice within which will tell us what is truth.

The most exciting of Mike's experiences are those where he wakes up in the middle of the night, experiences buzzing, vibrates at great speed and lifts off through the closed window or ceiling. Sometimes he is examined, but gets to ask questions about life and the universe, the answers to which he unfortunately "forgets".

He experiences being "taken" by the military in Area 51 in Nevada, after which he becomes violently ill and needs to be cleansed, accessing recovery of his memory of this experience by means of regression.

In several remarkable events he experiences a visit by light beings surrounded by universal love. He merges with them and enters a state of Oneness, feeling that he is one with the Source. At the same time numbers, symbols and letters are beamed into the room around him. He recreates one of these experiences in regression, thus regaining access to these symbols and writing them down for us too. If we meditate on them we may integrate some of the knowledge they communicate. At one point Mike changed his signature such that his new signature is composed of some of these symbols. When I look at his signature, it makes a strong impression on me, and I feel that I am experiencing Mike's advanced energy (becoming quite giddy) and that I understand who he is at the highest level, It's not something I experience with my head but which I sense in another way.

The book contains accounts of his many other amazing experiences, and in fact presents a wealth of knowledge. At one stage he meets with a space child whom he is told is his own child, which he has fathered with a "Tulip lady" (see the cover of the book),

If you're at all interested in UFOs, aliens, spiritual development, attaining advanced knowledge or the approaching Shift in 2012, I would advise you to read this book. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this book because, oddly enough, I have found myself asking the very same question and even wrote a poem whether or not wind and rain would appear in other dimensions. Overall, I found the book rather vague about Mike Oram's encounters. There's just not a whole lot of detail, because I sense that the author himself is unable to remember too much about the encounters. I do take Mike for his word. He had an interesting life as a UFO experiencer and a UFO investigator, so I enjoyed reading about that. But, I was just hoping for more narrative from these other dimensional beings about their dimensions. Most people would tend to fill in the gaps, so I'm glad that Mike Oram didn't do that. But come to think of it, I still don't know if it rains in other dimensions...

5.0 out of 5 stars Higher State of Awareness, July 13, 2010

This review is from: Does It Rain in Other Dimensions? A True Story of Alien Encounters (Paperback)
I bought this book a few years ago when it first came out and just finally got around to reading it. I'm so sorry I didn't read it sooner! This book was so great that I completed reading it in only a few days with hi-lighters by my side. I couldn't put it down and find myself wanting more. This is the sign of a really good story. This book makes the connection that I've been arguing for years: You can believe in intelligent life beyond Earth AND still believe in GOD, for Mike's interactions with these Beings explains what is happening, what will happen and what we need to do for our fast-approaching transition.

Mike Oram takes us on a wonderous journey of his life as an "Experiencer" of interactions with those who are "Off-Worlders" from the tender age of four until about 2005, so the information is current and applicable. Where the vast majority of the other books on the shelves are fear-based and focus on the terrifying events happening, this book is the polar opposite as Mike does an excellent job explaining and asking questions of his visitors that tells us most of them are here for the good of mankind/Earth/Universe. There is one event in Mike's book that is scary, however, it is explained well an I'll leave that for the readers to find.

The hypnotic regression utilized to access his subconscious, and sometimes communicate with the "Off-Worlders" in real-time during the sessions, provides for amazingly detailed information. The other information provided about people Mike meets in his lifetime (especially how John Pickering is able to draw the Biomechanical Being) confirms what Mike has seen is NOT imaginary!

There are tangents thrown in to fill in the gaps his experiences do not cover, but they are clearly marked. Other readers may find this annoying/distracting/unnecessary. It helped me to choose more books to read. There are some typo/grammar issues, but they are minimal and, unless you are easily distracted to focus on nit-picking, a reader should be able to get over these little blips for the content.

The most amazing part about this book are the drawings of the symbols included. I'm disappointed he could only include 6 of the 14 pages he drew with his eyes closed under hypnotic regression, however, I understand that any information not included in this book was for his personal knowledge and/or information that is not ready be released to the masses at this time.

I scanned the pages of these drawings and stretched them to fit a full sheet of paper w/o distorting the width. Then I printed them out to meditate upon. I had the feeling I should draw over the lines myself with a fine-tipped black Sharpie pen. When I did this, something was activated in my head for I felt a vibration in my third eye and an electrical current running through my head. Once I finished I felt the need to drink a couple glasses of water (about 24 oz.) and then I lay down on the sofa only to fall asleep and wake up about 12 hours later. I don't know what this activity did, however, I suggest anyone else who reads this book to do the same. I have now placed these sheets of paper on the "Vision Board" in my meditation room as I originally intended. You can buy the book or just the 6 cards of these symbols on his website: [...]

3.0 out of 5 stars Aliens Are Sometimes Us, February 24, 2010
This review is from: Does It Rain in Other Dimensions? A True Story of Alien Encounters (Paperback)
That's certainly the impression one has after finishing Mike Oram's fascinating memoir. A lifetime of alien contact has left him with the inescapable feeling that "he" is one of "them",come to Earth to experience our way of life and help us get ready for that step up into Galactic Federation membership despite all the denial and trickery of governments trying to suppress the shocking truth.
Much of his story conforms to the template of contactee memoirs already established in this mini-genre. But his individual variations make the retelling more than worthwhile and I found myself fascinated for the entire book. Whether you've read several or none, this makes for very compelling reading.
His powerful philosophy is summed up on page 226: "We are not just physical bodies, machines that are somehow separate from God, 'The Source'. We are,in fact, multidimensional beings who 'are' the Source. We do not need to rely on some external force to connect us with 'the Divine' because we 'are' the Divine.
A must read for all ufo buffs and those who would like to learn more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read... UFO Alien abuction experience, January 18, 2011

This review is from: Does It Rain in Other Dimensions? A True Story of Alien Encounters (Paperback)
this is an abduction account and an interplay of other world realities that are amazing to view. There are areas that show that issues can be stranger then strange and yet be part of someone's everyday life. Thoughts, daydreams and reality are a mixture of this account from a man born in the mid 20th Century, post war England. This is most enjoyable the second and third time around as well.

This review is from: Does It Rain in Other Dimensions? A True Story of Alien Encounters (Paperback)
This story of Mike's experiences is fascinating, sincere, and personal--of course, raising more questions than can possibly be answered. I wish I could have had many of these adventures and remembered them. He is one of the most fearless of people having this kind of contact. His ideas about using hypnosis to regain memory of our experiences(should we, shouldn't we, and why or why not?)gave me a great new insight on that whole subject. I will read this again!
