The Best Damn Golf Book ( and Instructor) you can Buy !!!!!,
By Daniel Furdon (Wellesley, Ma United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
I have just recently completed 8 lessons with Steve Anderson and as part of his instrucution I was given his book. Stevecould not be any clearer about the golf swing than he is within "On the Other Hand". This book shows you everything that is needed to build a solid golf swing. I am a 16 handicap and after being down in Flordia the last 5 weeks and studying under Steve, I have had the 2 best rounds of my career in tournaments 82 - 86 . I have no one other than Steve to thank fo that. Buy the book, and more importantly get down here and take a lesson with him !!! The great thing is that Steve's instruction follows the book word for word, so even if you don't get a chance to come down and work on your swing in person, you can be guaranteed to feel like you're "almost there" when reading his book. THANKS STEVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instructions that work!,
By Gus Caniff (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
"On The Other Hand" is a fantastic instructional manual that has helped improve my game (better than my more expensive clubs!). It seems like Steve's fundamentals are missing from many other sources of golf instruction. I am glad he decided to put them in print for everyone to read. The book is filled with effective instructions, real life adventures, and easy to follow photos (whether you are left or right handed). I am not an expert, but I think this golf book is going to be "HOT!!!"

Huge results after reading just 40 pages!!!,
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
Received this book on a Monday and had to play in a tournament the very next day. After reading just the first 40 pages it became clear the mistakes I was making. Before the tournament I went to the driving range and practiced what I had read and just like that I was hitting the straightest shots I've ever hit. I can't wait to read the rest of it and watch the strokes disappear!! I applaud Steve Anderson for writing a book for lefties and I agree with him that lefties are still being left behind in the area of equipment. The golf stores around here offer very little in the way of equipment for us.

Fabulous Book,
By Lowell Schoenfeld (Fort Myers, Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
Having read many golf books I feel qualified to comment. Steve's book breaks the full swing and short game down into manageable and understandable pieces. The pictures in the book make the instruction more understandable. My scores have definitely improved by implementing the instruction techniques contained in On the Other Hand.

All I can say is Thankyou Steve Anderson. After years of having to flip all the images and reverse all the words, Steves book presents a wonderfully, clear picture of the golf swing. Two of my friends who are right handed also got the book and have improved dramatically. My only complaint is that they're playing better than me now and are winning all the bets!

Right Hander Loves This Book,
By Kevin A. Kyle (Fort Myers, Florida) - See all my reviews

Hurray for Steve Anderson's new book, "On the Other Hand." I'm a right-handed player, but had seen some of Steve's tips in various golf magazines over the years, and was anxious to read his first book. I was not disappointed! The chapter on the full swing was great, and I loved the common sense explanations he gave. What I enjoyed most was the chapter on chipping and pitching. They have improved my score and were so clear on their presentation I should have thought of them myself. I can't wait for his next book!

Easy to Understand Golf Instruction,
By Bill McConnell (Fort Myers, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
Steve Anderson's new book "On the Other Hand" is a must read for all left handed golfers. Steve breaks down the full swing into three key fundamentals that are easy to understand. His discussion of the short game is concise and simple to follow. This is a great resource that golfers can refer to time after time in working on all areas of their game.

Address Your Game with This One,
By
This review is from: On the Other Hand (Paperback)
Statuettes and trophies are right-handed. Weapons are for right-handers. Tools are for right-handers. Equipment is for right-handers. Throttle and stick are for right-handers. Zippers are for right-handers, and even golf courses are for right-handers, just as all the golf books are--until now. Author, Steve Anderson provides something for the banished, the Obama, the forgotten, the discounted--the left-hander!
And how refreshing it is to look at pictures of a golf swing, stance, grip, and text, and not have to transpose picture or word in my head to the opposite. "Right-handed" golf books were as confusing as asking someone, "I turn left here, yes?" only to hear the answer, "Right." With almost eighty black-and-white pictures, Anderson shows the left-handed reader the fundamentals, the address, how to correct bad shots, club fitting, refining the short game (putting, chipping), and many more topics designed to help the left-hander improve his or her golf game on courses that are mostly rigged for right-handers. His writing is clear enough that most of the text doesn't have to be read more than once to understand or visualize what he is talking about. Mr. Anderson even provides a web address and phone number for information and lessons. (Smart). If you are a left-handed golfer as I am, this is the only book you will need to improve your golf game, but it is a book that is not read just once. You may need to read parts over and over again until they become golfing habits. Toss out those other books with the smiling right-handed obfuscators in the pictures, for they are the true handicap of your golf. Address your game with this one.

At last a book I can call my own. Steve's book of golf instruction is wonderful. The chapter on the 3 fundamentals make so much sense that my golf (for the first time) seems almost to simple. I give it 10 stars!
