Best gift I ever received!, January 11, 2012
This review is from: Other Planets (Audio CD)
Received this CD from my best friend for Christmas, she raved over it, now I see why! This album was nothing like I thought is was going to be, it's different, not your typical solo album. Erik Scott is an amazing bass player, but this album makes every instrument sound incredible. This is my new "go-to" cd for any occasion. It rocks!! Love it!

Greative Listening, January 10, 2012
This review is from: Other Planets (Audio CD)
This solo effort strays from the normal. The Bass is the main featured instrument which can fool you. It's not really new age, has more of a gutsy edge to it and a lot of surprise sounds. He also brought in great talent for the other
instruments being used. It's an album that you can appreciate for many different moments.

Mellow version of Joe Satriani, May 5, 2011
This review is from: Other Planets (Audio CD)
Erik Scott has just such a cool song called Peace On Saturn. I really dig the opening pedal steel guitars. There's a fantastic vibe being created here. Very flowing, very floaty, very soothing and quite peaceful. Add a dash of spacey and it's easy to understand why the song is called Peace On Saturn.
When you have a hectic day I can fully understand how Erik's song can be a way to jettison the stress and be a reason to relax and get some calm happening. Doesn't hurt that the music is well played and well recorded. In a way it reminds me of a very mellow version of Joe Satriani.
Go forth and have a kick ass day.
