Book Description

June 1, 1993
Distributed by the University of Nebraska Press for Caxton Press

Eastern Oregon is less well known than the West of that state.  The two "sides" of Oregon differ dramatically in climate and geography.  But it is the people and their stories that set the east apart and which take center stage in this, another of veteran author Ralph Friedman's odes to Oregon.

"Someone, contemplating a trip through Oregon should, by all means, carry this book. But for those, who elect to stay home, Friedman''s book is of interest also for the book comes close to being a state encyclopedia."—Charles K. Graydon, Nevada County Historical Society Bulletin
