5.0 out of 5 stars My Review of The Other Sky
Where did this come from? These folks are the most credible and intelligent authors I have yet to read on the subject of Alien encounters and encounters with the paranormal. Mellas and Caywood have put it ALL out there for the reader to decide what is so and they give the reader more than they bargined for with the incredible detail and rich story telling. I recommend...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea.
This was, from my point of view, very boring and slow moving. It really didn't pick up until one half the way through the book. Personally, I was hoping for much more "hard" science and observations, but instead the book is filled with all kinds of "New Age" wisdom. I am not being critical of the experiencers, nor am I questioning their validity. My comments are on...

Mellas and Caywood have put it ALL out there for the reader to decide what is so and they give the reader more than they bargined for with the incredible detail and rich story telling. I recommend this book to everyone because of what it has to say on so many levels and not just the whole ET/Paranormal thing either. It'll keep you on the edge of your human seat from start to finish. I know I couldn't put it down.

My comments are on the substance of the book and the material presented. You could, if you wanted to, write the book in a "Cliff Note" style... I was asleep. Aliens woke me up. They floated me to their craft. They conducted experiments on me. They led me back to my bed. I slept.

What became interesting was when the writer started to make claims to be a translator for a galatic federation. Um...OK. But still, even these unique insights were not able to provide me with the meat and potatoes that I needed and desired from this book. I found the book to be a disapointment and I do not recommend it for researchers searching for definative hard observations.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an Amazing Place The Other Sky Is!!!, September 17, 2003

What an Amazing Place The Other Sky Is!!! I bought this on the advise of other Amazon Readers and was NOT dissapointed. Caywood and Mellas are gifted story tellers and related their ongoing ET encounters with every frightening and amazing detail leaving nothing out. I especially loved their spiritual conclusions and explanations of why all this ET/Spirit stuff is happening to us and to our world at this time. Everything they said made such sense. I will be thinking about what they wrote for a long time as I like to ponder the deeper meaning and insights of their Other Sky Wisdoms. This book IS a must have , must read for everyone and not just the simi-curious or causual reader either

5.0 out of 5 stars What an amazing story!, March 30, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
After reading "The Other Sky" I believe the authors are telling the truth, and have had contact with entities outside of our normal understanding. I have been studying the UFO phenomenon for a number of years, and Landi and David's stories are typical of most UFO abductees, including Whitley Strieber.
The typical abduction experiencer has a history of involvement with the paranormal, the occult, and/or New Age beliefs. Most have a strong belief in reincarnation and other Eastern philosophies as well.
If you want to know the true identity of the beings of "The Other Sky" I strongly recommend you read "Alien Encounters" by Chuck Missler.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Those Europe Had to Say about The Other Sky..., December 10, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
"The Other Sky by Landi Mellas & David Caywood is a fascinating read from start to finish. Rarely has a book on so-called 'alien abductions' dealt with the subject in such a unique way as The Other Sky. It is a thought provoking and sometimes touching book that is sure to take pride of place on many peoples bookshelves".

5.0 out of 5 stars My Review, December 12, 2002
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
The Other Sky is a fascinating book from start to finish. The writers take us from their earliest childhood encounters to the present day with candid honesty and hold nothing back no matter how frightening it may have been to them at the time. In the the end they reveal and answer the books sub-title with an amazing twist the reader is sure to find astounding...I did. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good story and wants to know first-hand what encounters with ET's can lead to and are REALLY like.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Other Sky - what a wild book!, December 10, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
I never thought I'd say this about a book that deals with ET encounters and advanced life forms who are visiting this planet: But Wow! What a wild book! Mellas and Caywood are brave enough to come forward and wrtie what they did in The Other Sky, but I had no idea it would move me in the way it did or be such a great read. I highly recommend this compelling and enlightening book...It makes Speilberg's "Taken" look tame by any comparison.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Other Sky Reviewed from Iowa USA, December 10, 2002

I was suprised by the amount of detail and the crediblity of the authors. Caywood and Mellas really have a handle on this subject like no one I have ever read before. I'd like to offer my recommendation as a solid and reliable one, since I don't usually go in for this kinda of genre (UFO's and such) but a friend purchased this book for me... So I gave it try and I loved it. It was most intriguing and inspiring, not mention really scarey in some parts of the book. I recommend this book to you if you want a book that will really grab you long after you've finished reading it. It really made me think and look at the bigger picture in a whole new way.

5.0 out of 5 stars written from the heart, August 27, 2005
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
I loved this book it really captured the abduction experience. David's not understanding and life long journey in to trying to make since of it was heartfelt. Landi's acceptance and fighting spirit were really inspiring. This book is written by people who were there. I know this is true. Don't expect this book to entertain you like some block buster kind of entertainment. Its not. It is two people telling their experiences. And worthy of being accepted as such. You may just find similarities to their experiences in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Utterly Fabulous!!!, October 11, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Other Sky: Reclaiming Who We Are and Why We Came Here (Paperback)
I don't get abducted, but this book, oh my! I've already read this book twice. It is completely eye-opening. The skeptics are looking more and more ridiculous trying to explain away these types of events. They should be ashamed! But it looks like in time everyone will know this book and its message, even without reading it....:)
