I purchased this crate for my new 50lb dog.
Within one week the dog discovered that if he pushed the door the plastic frame bends and can be pushed over the locks. When I tied the doors closed (since the locking alone did not work) the dog realized he could chew the plastic bottom frame. I spent a week reinforcing the crate with tied wire, and straps until I could purchase a new (and much cheaper) crate which works fine.
I spent more than $125 (and shipping totaling $175)in an effort to buy a durable crate. I have less than a month later tossed it in the trash.(Pet Gear instructed me to mail it back to where it came from for a refund but I did not save the box). I replaced with a steel crate, less than half the cost, and works just fine. This product looks nice, if that is what matters, but a medium to large dog can escape without much effort.
