Format: Audio CD
For those who've heard the sensational "Hold Conversation" EP from these boys, this may at first feel a little soft by comparison overall. "Other Voices, Other Rooms" starts off with a bang as standout tracks "Streetlight", "Where The City Meets The Sea" and personal favourite "Sleep Spindles" (A little reminiscent of te EP) roll out with catchy riffing, explosive drums and belting choruses.

The rest of the album is where the whole thing starts to feel a little more accomodating for the mainstream audience whilst keeping honest. However, this is only drawing a comparison to their much heavier EP, whereas this album recaptures the likes of earlier highlights "Opaque" and "A Different Kind Of Mess" from their demo.

"A Lover's Complaint", though still a nice song, is perhaps the only song on this album that doesn't show just how far ahead TGP are from other bands of the overcrowded genre. "Transmission" gives the slow wind-down to the album, not so different to the way "An Afterword" did, still neither as effective as "Strings".

"Other Voices, Other Rooms" is a strong album from start to finish, void of filler and packed with songs that truly come to life in the live show.
