Otheresteem - puts self-esteem to work,

This review is from: Otheresteem: Regaining the Power to Value Others (Paperback)
It has been a mantra for several decades that we need self-esteem. You need it, I need it, everybody needs it. However, this book puts a finger on something we have overlooked: self-esteem only thrives when living in a closely symbiotic relationship with our esteem of others. And we may get one from practising the other.
So Monica Diaz's easily read book opens up a new door to the end purpose of self-development, which is to be able to be in this world with ourselves and others in generous, tolerant ways. Moreover, the book gives practical, simple directions on how to practise otheresteem in our daily lives. Easy to apply and try for oneself - and it works. For this reason it deserves every single one of the five stars!

This review is from: Otheresteem: Regaining the Power to Value Others (Paperback)
Otheresteem provides a highly practical and accessible path to improving both our personal and professional relationships, even those we find most difficult, for the benefit of our workplaces, our families, and our communities. Beautifully written and insightful, Monica demonstrates through well chosen stories the extraordinary transformative power of the authentically accepting, valuing and appreciating others. In the process she teaches us not only to practice Otheresteem, but shows us the way back to a more compassionate and loving relationship with ourselves.

A Gem,

This review is from: Otheresteem: Regaining the Power to Value Others (Paperback)
This book is excellent. It's written in conversational style that is easy to read, and feels like the author is talking directly to you, and her message is important: Cultivating esteem for others will improve your life. The book isn't a sermon or lecture, but a how-to book, how to cultivate esteem for others, with practices to do so based on her experience as an executive coach. I loved the book and felt enriched by it. If you want to feel closer to others, improve your relationships, increase your own self-esteem, I highly recommend this little gem.
