Last in Sunset Key trilogy,
By
This review is from: Otherwise Engaged (Mass Market Paperback)
Widow Molly Cassidy inherits a rundown mansion that she hopes to renovate and turn into a B&B, but billionaire resort-owner Preston Seaholm wants to buy the waterfront property and won't take no for an answer. While trying to avoid becoming the poster boy for a tabloid that wants to honor him as the most eligible bachelor, he admits he is engaged, and with the time he has spent with the widow and her hearing-impaired son has the tabloids wagging their tongues and their poison pens. What starts out as a relationship of convenience soon turns far more passionate for both, but Molly isn't prepared to get involved with another emotionally challenged suitor.
The best and last in a trilogy set in Sunset Key, Florida, (see also The Kissing Game and Kiss and Tell), this is a stale reprint from Brockmann, who is more famous for help SEAL romances. The dialogue is a little trite, and certain plot points are brought up and then suddenly disappear... She does a great job crating chemistry with the leads, but overall, it is just an average read from the author's early archives.

Molly Cassidy has a chance at a new life. She's inherited the Kirk Estate on Sunrise Key and plans to turn it into a bed- and -breakfast.
However, billionaire Preston Seaholm wants to buy it from her. Mr Seaholm seems to be a spoiled, rich man who always gets what he wants. It doesn't take long for him to fall in love with Molly and her son and with his help she's able to achieve much more than her dream. I didn't read the first two books in the trilogy but I didn't have any trouble following the storyline. All in all, it was an enjoyable read but not a book that I would keep.

Really Cute!,
This review is from: Otherwise Engaged (Mass Market Paperback)
You almost can't go wrong with a Susanne Brockmann novel. She is a master storyteller, and this book is no exception, even though it is obviously some of her earlier work. Not only is the story a good one, but the characters are well-developed enough where you feel a connection to them and their story. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that there seemed to be some gaps in the story that I didn't quite understand, but overall it was very enjoyable. Also, check out her "Troubleshooters" series. You will NOT be disappointed!
