Praise for the second edition:
"This comprehensive textbook spans a wide variety of issues ranging from cutting edge research and theory to practical topics...Robinette and Glattke have taken a good book and made it even better...especially notable are the new chapters on suppression of otoacoustic emissions, David Kemp's perspective on future applications and Michael Gorga and colleagues' explanation of OAEs and hearing loss...should appeal to many levels." --www.audiology.org
"A comprehensive and up-to-date book that covers the gamut of OAE issues...an excellent review...will serve well as both an academic text and as a reference for the practicing audiologist." --Doody's Review Journal
"Fascinating...an impressive list of contributors...good coverage of all clinical aspects...detailed summaries of recent advances in the basic science of emissions...a valuable addition to any clinic where OAEs are performed." --ENT News
"Otoacoustic Emissions provides an excellent coverage of the fundamental[s] of otoacoustic emissions and their use clinically, for diagnosis and for screening. It is especially noteworthy that a clinical text covers the basic science to such a great extent. The book provides a comprehensive coverage of all aspects of otoacoustic emissions that are important for its use in hearing screening and diagnosis of hearing disorders. This book should be a required reading for all who use otoacoustic emissions for clinical purposes, and it is also a valuable reading for researchers in both clinical and basic hearing science that regard the ear. The book serves as an inspiration for improvements of currently used applications of otoacoustic emission and for development of new applications of this valuable clinical tool."--Otology & Neurology
Acclaim for the first edition:
"A marvelous text that should be mandatory reading...An important addition to the professional library."
- -Audecibel
"An excellent reference for audiologists who wish to incorporate otoacoustic emissions in clinical practice. I strongly recommend it." - -Volta Review
Theodore J. Glattke , Ph.D. Professor, Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA (Editor)

A comprehensive textbook on OAE,

This review is from: Otoacoustic Emissions (Hardcover)
This book is comprehensively reviewing the OAEs. It is not a handbook, it is an academic textbook. This point is important, because one who wants to see many clinical examples and case studies, will not find his/her demands.
