About the Author

James Hale and Joanne Milner met while they were both working for a city magazine in Ottawa. In the 24 years since then, James has pursued a career as a freelance travel writer, jazz critic and communications agency executive. He is the author of Branching Out: The History of the Royal Canadian Legion. Joanne is a freelance researcher. They live in a rural part of Ottawa. Ottawa With Kids is their first joint book.
