This is the ultimate case for protection for the Ipod Touch. The thin membrane does sit up a little high off the touch screen so you have to push with more force than you are use to. Since the case has a built in headphone jack, it disables the internal speaker when inserted. I have had no issues of use with the case on (except that the volume buttons and sleep button is covered). You do need to remove it from the case for charging and syncing (it's water proof so it's completely sealed) I have tested the case under water (about a foot) and running water with no leaks. If you don't need water proof, I recommend getting the Otterbox Defender. It has the same membrane for the touch screen, is much smaller, and more comfortable to hold.

Everything I expect from otter- perfect protection and secure.
big problem? the 2nd gen touch has the ability to increase/decrease volume and change tracks from remote headphones- the headphone tip in this case won't work with them. It only has 3 bands on the tip- headphones with remote have 4 bands...

it is waterproof that part is great! The touch screen only works above water. I recommend buying the waterproof ear buds or you can not hear any sound while it's in the case.

Great case but mine has finally died
I have a 30 GB classic and I have had my otterbox since I got the IPOD.
It is easy to use and I feel the larger size of the box helps prevent me from dropping it. Read more
