This two piece case fits very well and seems to offer good protection.

The case does add some bulk, but not too much; it's still very easy to slip in and out of my jeans' front pocket.

In general, OtterBox cases are just about the best you can get for any phone. The soft silicone layer plus the hard plastic layer makes for a tough combination that provides great protection. They do add a little bit to the size of the phone, but I think it's worth it, and after a while you don't notice it. Another great feature of OtterBox cases is that they normally are designed to fit perfectly, which also applies to this case. They're well worth paying the relatively high cost for.

My only complaint with this particular case is that the included screen protector doesn't cover the entire front of the phone. It covers the bottom part of the phone completely as well as the entirety of the part that covers the display, but it stops at the very top of the phone's LCD display, leaving about 1 cm or so at the top uncovered, leaving that area vulnerable to getting scratched. That area includes the earpiece for listening to phone calls, the front facing camera, and I also think some sensors like the ambient light sensor and the proximity sensor. Because of this, I've deducted a star.

One last thing about the screen protector: screen protectors in general are difficult to apply without getting bubbles and/or lint in them. I would say that this screen protector isn't any more difficult to install than any other screen protector I've installed. I was able to get it on without any lint getting underneath, and I was able to get all the bubbles out of it. In fact, I tend to prefer OtterBox screen protectors because they actually seem to be higher quality and tend to be less likely to get scratched.

Edit:
A friend ordered the same exact case, and her screen protector now covers the entire phone.

The case fits beautifully. Easy to get on but very snug once in place. The screen protector was another thing altogether. Absolutely impossible to apply without bubbles. The tool that they supplied to smooth out the screen protector actually wound up scratching it. That being said, I wasn't planning on using the screen protector anyway unless it looked perfect and did not get in the way. They should just forget about the film and charge a buck or two less.

This is absolutely a very protective case that will protect your phone from numerous falls and drops. However, I don't love this case. Because I couldn't decide which case to order, I ended up ordering this case for my dad's phone and the trident aegis for myself. After using both, I highly recommend that if you are looking for a protective case for your moto g, you choose the trident aegis over this one. Price is comparable (the trident might even be a bit cheaper) and protection seems equal. However, the buttons on the otterbox case are extremely difficult to push--they are extremely stiff; I found myself using almost the strength of two arms just to turn the phone on. The buttons on the trident are very easy to push. Minorly, I also prefer the feel of the trident in my hand over the otterbox. There is some peculiar pattern in the plastic on the otterbox that I found a bit annoying.

This is the second case I purchased for this phone. The first one purchased didn't provide enough protection. I feel confident that my phone with the commuter series case could withstand a drop from low height. It is still slim enough to fit in my jeans pocket which is good because I am not a fan of the holster.

This two piece case fits very well and seems to offer good protection. There is a slight raised rubber edge around the screen that should deflect most unintended contact with hard objects. The rubber seals that cover the power and headphone jack ports fit very snugly, keeping out dust and debris. With the inner rubber slip cover over the two actual buttons on the side of the Moto G, the buttons do require really firm pressure to depress. As far as the added bulk, it's still possible to slip the phone into the pocket of your jeans fairly comfortably. I was surprised to find that the "Frustration-Free Packaging" offered by Amazon actually means no factory packaging at all. The phone was shipped in a small easy-open cardboard box, which was fine with me.

Pro: Very solid construction. The phone seems very well protected...haven't tested that though. The power & volume "buttons" are completely covered...no dust etc. getting in there. The USB port has a "removable" cover on it. I'm not a big fan of that but I don't have a better idea for it either. The fit is perfect around the ports, switches, camera lens...perfect.
Con: the only thing I can really say here is its thickness. It's more than I would like. It's pretty tight in my case now but I guess it goes with the territory (protection). This is the only thing I would hope Otterbox would address in the future.

Screen protector was garbage. The case however is not bad. It does collect a lot of dirt and junk from my pocket which requires me to periodically remove the case and clean the phone. I have dropped my phone a few times now and the case has protected the phone and held up great. Only downside is the volume and power buttons are hard to press now (on the upside I don't accidentally press them)
