This review is for the OtterBox Universal Case (the 3000 series - but the deepest box I think OtterBox makes).

First off, I'm hooked on every OtterBox I've purchased (from the very small 1000 series up to this 3000 series deep box). I must have at least 30 of these of varying sizes.

The quality on all of them is very high. They are very well made, sturdy and WATERPROOF (see the limitation in the product description).

This deep 3000 series box is everything I was hoping for when I ordered it. What I'm using these for is my Moto Droid mobile phones with all the accessories I own for each phone (Vehicle mounting kit, desk charger, car charger, HDMI cable, 8-10 extra pre-charged batteries, extra data storage cards, and more). And everything fits with room to spare. I couldn't do this with the 3000 series that's 2.x" deep box but now I can with this one.

It's great to be able to keep my phones and accessories all together and know that everything is safe.

I highly recommend this box because of the quality and the size.

I love these otter boxes. I gave a bunch of them away for Christmas and I have a few myself. It just feels very well made. Good for electronics around water, or at the beach to keep sand out.

Works excellent for storing small electronics or other small items that you want to keep dry and safe. I use one of mine for a collection of small pocket knives. I just added some extra foam padding I had and I can fit almost a dozen various sized ones with their being secure and safe from scratches. You can put a small lock on the outside to prevent casual access. I use another one for a Digital camera and all its accessories. Makes traveling simple having everything together. I also throw a small desiccant package in mine. It has a good positive dual latch and the interior is lined with a thin layer of padding. I have not submerged mine in water yet, but feel confident of it keeping everything dry should it be dropped in shallow water or caught in the rain. I recommend it for small items you want to keep together and keep reasonably secure (using a lock).

I purchased two of these to make a survival kit. I was worried that the yellow ones would not come with a lanyard because they are not pictured with one. I was pleased that they did. I chose the yellow ones for visibility. I had called OtterBox about the lanyard before I placed the order. Their customer service could not have been better. The guy was so helpful. He simple said that yes, they should come with a lanyard, and if they don't call OtterBox back and they will make it right. I will order other OtterBox products in the future. Great price for these from Amazon as well.

With a heavy stone inside for ballast, I immersed this box in water for an hour and there was no leakage whatsoever. Next I plan to take it up a mountain to see if it makes the airtight popping sound that ammo cans do when opened, and then place it on railroad tracks to check for crush-worthiness.

Kidding. Although a bit pricey, Otterboxes are the best. I'd have given it five stars if it was easily lockable, but unfortunately most standard locks are too big to fit.

I bought this box as a place to safely store wallet, watch, keys, etc when working or playing in water craft. Excellent box, holds everything I need to keep dry, safely from water damage. Kept my cell phone, wallet, watch, etc dry during off shore use, good place to keep camera if not in use as well.

The otter boxes is great for boaters.......
Its is durible and small . Light weight box is the best compact size for
any adventure....

This case is a great tool to have for my electronics. It fit my phone, my husband's phone, and our camera in there when we went fishing this summer. It's very handy to have instead of running the risk of our phones accidentially being dropped in the water. It's great, plus that way people can still get ahold of us if we're on the lake.

These are the best little waterproof boxes out there!! I take mine out on the boat everyday and have no worries about my electronics getting wet! I strongly recommend this otterbox and their entire line of products!

Little larger than I first expected when I eyeballed the dimensions up. but awesome, fits everything that I need to keep dry in it on kayaking trips. Great at keeping things in and out.
