I purchased a few different cases to try them out. A friend has an otterbox for the iphone and loves it so I picked this as one to try. Both my wife and I don't like this one. One of the 'features' of the naked HTC sensation I did not like at all was how skinny and slippery the phone is. This otterbox adds a little more bulk but it was still very slippery, hard plastic on the outside. It just seems too easy to slip out of your hand, pocket or off a table.
My favorite so far was also the least expensive. I can't tell you the brand because there isn't one. It's one of the "TPU" plastic cases that are not hard plastic or silicone but something in between. It's a Semi-rigid case that has a nice rubber feel. When comparing 2 phones side by side the otterbox slid on the table easily while the TPU case offered much resistance. The otterbox may offer a little more protection from a fall but I'd prefer fewer falls. No case will help if the screen lands face first on a rock or table corner.
I did not like the flap covering the charger port. The most annoying thing about smartphones is how often you need to plug them in. I don't need another thing in the way. I suppose you could cut that flap off easily enough.
My wife didn't like the fact that black was the only option. Right away we were trying to figure out how we could determine which phone we are about to cart off to work for the day. Stickers? Paint?
I was expecting the clear screen cover to be part of the case like other otterbox models I've seen but instead you receive 1 screen protector film sticker. I already have a lot of experience with those films (and already had one on my phone). While they are essential in my opinion I have yet to install one the first time perfectly without messing up the first time. I always buy a 3 pack, practice with the first, get the second on perfect and have a spare. With only one coming with this otterbox I'd expect a lot of people to run into similar problems.

The case works just fine. The only problem I've found, and it's a big one, is that no one can hear me when I speak. I guess the hole that should let my voice through isn't the right size. Everyone complains that I sound 'muffled.' Also, unlike most Otter Boxes, it just comes with screen protector 'stickers' instead of the screen cover being attached to the box. It's not nearly as great as the ones I've seen (for the iPhone and the Droid2.)

Good but not like the others
Pretty good. Still have to careful not too drop since it doesnt offer full protection. Wish they had more colors, but better than without it bc the phone is a slippery mess.
