Not Worth Your Time,
This review is from: Our 100 Most Famous Poets (Paperback)
This book's poems aren't even that good. Some of the poems the company publishes are incredible, but none of them are even in there.
Plus, most of the poets who are in there have only written one poem. And not all the poets who won prizes turn up in it. I myself won a prize with them, do you see me in there? No. What I'm trying to get at is, don't even bother buying this book. It isn't even worthy of being in a doctor's office waiting room.

The best contemporary poetry being written,
By Scott Harvey (Ashland, Oregon USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Our 100 Most Famous Poets (Paperback)
It's amazing really. When you first read the book you think to yourself, I could have written this. And it's possible. These are not the poems of Robert Frost or even William Shakespeare. They are the poems of everyday people in America. The interesting thing, though, is this: Every poem in the book has won a big cash prize in a recent poetry contest, for a combined total of $289,000.00. Two of the poems won $25,000 each! Certainly the editors have put their money where their mouth is. My question is this: Could you have written one of $25,000 poems?
