Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

In their third book (following We Are Not Forgotten and We Do Not Die ), the trio of psychic Anderson; Martin, his co-host on the cable show Psychic Channels ; and Dreamgirl coauthor Romanowski, focus on Anderson's alleged conversations with children who have died. Grieving parents sought out Anderson, and in lengthy question-and-answer interviews sandwiched between reconstructions of the families' lives and their thoughts after the psychic's readings, Anderson pieces together details of the children's lives; deaths; current existences "on the other side"; the relatives, friends and pets there with them; and their comforting words to their parents, absolving them of guilt and reassuring them of their love. All but two conversations are based, "on videotape, on audiotape, or in notes Joel took while witnessing the reading" (though which are which is not noted). Some parents in similar need of comfort will be convinced when Anderson immediately hits on a dead child's name. Skeptics, however, will find the similarity of opening gamuts (usually "A male close to you passed") and his backpedaling as he searches for the right answer less convincing ("he's telling me there's health involved, it's accidental, and it's very sudden. He showed me a car accident. But he says 'It's not a car accident.' . . . And then he started talking about his health. I thought he was trying to tell me he didn't pass from a health problem").

I have previously read We Don"t Die and We are Not Forgotten and I must say this Our Children Forever followed the suit of the other two books.I couldn't put them down!I was getting so much peace and comfort from the writings that I never wanted them to end. I read all three books in 6 days and I am a very slow reader. I am waiting for the arrival of Lessons From the Light,as I am sure this book will be just as promising.I was experiencing a great deal of grief from losing a loved one and George Anderson without even meeting him has put my mind at peace knowing my loved one is ok.If you are reading any of these books it is probably because you have also lost someone.I hope you find the same kind of comfort I have in the readings.

I lost my oldest son, Justin, in December of 1999 in a car accident. His 3 younger brothers were critically injured. I am a single mom of 7 years, and this devastated me. I became so distant and was severely suicidal. I turned to drugs and alcohol and got progressively worse over the next 2 years. When I read his book, it totally changed my life, and my surviving children's. It turns the finality of death into the promise of life. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read the book in two days after my husband bought it for me at Christmas. I was and am still skeptical of a person being able to talk to the dead, but with this book, I truly felt as if George really was talking to these children. Even more, I am planning one day to travel to New York and hopefully have George do a reading for me so that I may finally talk to my precious daughter.

This is one of the best books I've ever read. I really enjoy all the books based on George Anderson. It has answered about 90% of the many questions I have pondered through my mind. The book captures common questions that (in my belief) is wondered by many parents. The best thing of all is that the book really helped me cope with many things that I could'nt before. This book is really the next best thing to really talking to George Anderson in person. I would just like to personally thank George Anderson for sharing his gift with everyone.

I have read all of Anderson's books, and each one is wonderful. "Our Children Forever" follows the same theme as the other ones: clear, simple, to the point. They are all worth reading.

This book can be of great help to parents, who are grieving over the loss of their children. At such a tragic time, this book is like a "light from Heaven". I buy copies of this book, to keep on hand - so that I can give them to people, in time of need. I think its a great comfort.
