Buy the much cheaper repackaged "A Contemporary Christian Christmas", December 7, 2010
This review is from: Our Christmas (Audio CD)
I like all of the tracks except #2--Al Green's version of "The First Noel". Don't buy this overpriced "Our Christmas" cd--instead, get the same thing repackaged as "A Contemporary Christian Christmas" for much less. It's also available on Amazon.com, here's the link:

One of my favorite Christmas cd's, December 22, 2006
This review is from: Our Christmas (Audio CD)
If you are looking for songs about Santa Claus, reindeers, or snowmen, then perhaps this is not the cd you are looking for. If you are looking for songs about the birth of Christ, then this cd may appeal to you.
Here are some of my favorite songs...
Michael W. Smith's Reve Du Noel offers a quiet and solemn beginning. The song begins with a female choir singing praise to Emmanuel. Then the familiar piano chords of Smitty bring the song to full-speed.
David Meece's One Small Child may be the most underrated Christmas song ever recorded. But it is the one song that gives me chills when it reaches the climax. The song beautifully recreates the night of Christ's birth, with images of shepherds kneeling, kings on bended knee, and a mother in praise of the Father.
Phil Keaggy and Kim Hill produce an acoustic version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen that my wife and I look forward to hearing every winter.
These are my favorites, but the rest of the cd is also very strong. Every song is valuable, and together they create a whole tapestry that I have enjoyed listening to every Christmas season for nearly two decades now.
