Outstanding. Take it From One Who Actually READ the Book!, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Our Fathers Weep: It's the Constitution, Stupid! (Paperback)
In general, people who write "trash talk" reviews of conservative books, id est, libs, have not bothered to actually read the books that they criticize, but merely follow someone's directions to go and say whatever they can of a negative nature in the comments section. Sad but true.
For those who actually read this book, their view on it depends entirely upon their life philosophy.
For those who are statists, socialist-oriented, and who believe that the best way for the 'peon' class to live is with the Nanny State telling them how to live, and the iron fisted Big Brother threatening them if they refuse, this will not be an enjoyable book at all. Those who bathe themselves in daily doses of intellectual hubris, and whose main source of mental programming is the MSM / Washington DC Ministry of Propaganda, will dislike it strongly. However -
Those who believe in the unchanging truths in the documents written by the men who founded this country will find it inspirational. Those who actually study the Constitution and the Bill of Rights ( note, "Rights", NOT "privileges" ) will find the book informative and encouraging. Those who are willing to transform this land from the socialist state intended by the current 'elite' , back to the democratic Republic that it was established to be, will take heart in it.
The book offers thoughts, insights, and suggestions that are plainly stated, and
rooted in Constitutional history, logic and common sense. Nowhere does the reader feel that he or she is being spoken down to. The articles contained may be seen as following to some degree in the traditions of the writings and pamphlets of Paine and others, and the perspective is strictly Jeffersonian.
I was given the book as a gift and plan to order more to share with others.

Political Masterpiece!, April 1, 2010
This review is from: Our Fathers Weep: It's the Constitution, Stupid! (Paperback)
Liberals don't like this book - imagine that! This book is for every Patriot in America. Liberals not invited!
The Tea Party WILL help put America back on her proper course, and this book is a modern treatise on patriotism and our founding principles.
Serious and no-holds-barred analysis provides the premise for how to crush liberalism and liberals - vote them out! Shun them! Do not hire them! Fire them if they are your employees! Liberalism, and the Liberals who seek to impose this tyranny upon us, are murdering the republic, and they should be treated accordingly.
The author points out that ours is not the first generation to face tyranny, and our Founding Fathers such as John and Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Paul Revere knew how to deal with Un-American citizens in our midst.
Great book! I commend it to every Patriot.

Required reading for all, April 7, 2010
This review is from: Our Fathers Weep: It's the Constitution, Stupid! (Paperback)
It only takes several minutes to read the US Constitution. (Everyone should do it.) It takes a bit more effort to study the writings (ie the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers) of the nation's early statesmen to gain further insight into why, and what they intended when, they wrote the Constitution. On doing so, one readily recognizes that the United States has strayed far from the constitutionally-limited government the founders envisioned.
So what, some say, it's a "living Constitution", meant to be interpreted at the whim of politicians and judges to suit the times. Wrong! Yes, the nation's founders recognized a need for change. So, they integrated a specific means for amendment of the document.
Sadly, we have largely ignored the Constitution and the restrictions the founders purposely imposed on government to protect liberty. We have allowed, even demanded, government grow with a correspondent loss of individual liberty.
Ironically, those who support the growth of government seem to be the most vociferous regarding "rights." Their concept of "rights" generally involves having a right to the property or services of another person and demand the government take those properties and rights for redistribution to those who have not earned them. They delude themselves by saying their entitlements come from the government, ignoring the simple fact that those "entitlements" are ultimately paid for by the taxpayers. Politicians of both major political parties have exploited this selfish demand on government to accumulate excessive power.
The authors of Our Fathers Weep have carefully studied and accumulated the wisdom of the founders and shared it in this book. They show how the nation has strayed far from the Constitution and the limited government it described. They point out that the consequent bloated government, and our selfish reliance on it, is steadfastly eroding our liberty with imminent catastrophic consequences.
I notice that there are some derogatory reviews of this book. Their comments clearly indicate that they have not read the book, that they are either too lazy or too afraid of truth to read the book, that they have a false understanding of the Constitutionalist (Tea Party) movement, and that they are very likely among the selfish people mentioned above who demand the government take from the producers to redistribute to those who have earned nothing.
Everyone needs to read this book! It will not change the minds of the selfish or the power-hungry. But it will change the minds of those who, because they simply lack knowledge and understanding, currently favor big government over a constitutionally-limited government. That is why those with negative comments fear this book so fiercely!
