Excellent book on the topic,
This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
I am an environmentalist and a Christian who has read most of what is out there on the topic. This is BY FAR the best book written piece on the subject (of the 10 or books I have read). It is clear, concise, and Biblical. If you are planning to read one book on the topic - put this in your cart, now.

Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation,

This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
This book is a refreshing combination of doctrine, passion, and practical advice for individual Christians and for the corporate church. Not only does Brown clearly outline our spiritual and moral responsibility toward God's creation, he also gives a clear call to action for anyone concerned with creation care. The book's second part, "Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation," could easily serve as the user's guide for church leadership in days ahead. I recommend this book to all Christians, but to church leadership in particular.

A stirring challenge,
By
This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
Rev. Brown's book is a declaration and challenge to the evangelical church to reopen their Bibles and examine the relationship God intended humans to have with the natural world. He makes a strong biblical argument that our correct relationship to the earth is to be a steward and caretaker for it and that many environmental problems are ultimately a result of human "sins" such as greed and pride. He also argues that the Christian church should take the lead in confronting these problems. I would highly recommend this book both to Christians interested in exploring what the Bible has to say about current environmental issues and to environmentalists who feel that Christianity is hostile to the environment.

This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
It is great to hear that there is a case being made for better stewardship of the world God gave us. I only wish more people could get this message so the church could move forward with a more holistic approach to how we interact with the world around us.

A Mobilized Church - God's Love in Action,
By
This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
Excerpted from my review of Our Father's World on SustainLane.com - Brown believes that the church has the ability to greatly impact the world with God's love in action, but it is largely untapped as a valuable resource for mobilizing a task force to respond to the global environmental crisis. Brown not only discusses the urgency to mobilize, but he provides the steps for his readers, whether a pastor, a church member or a student, to initiate action and collaboration to develop and participate in a creation-care program. I highly recommend Our Father's World - Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation.

Our Father's World, a must-read for Christians.,
This review is from: Our Father's World: Mobilizing the Church to Care for Creation (Paperback)
This is a must-read for Christians who care deeply about the environment as well as those who just want to remain culturally relevant. If churches and individuals put into practice what Brown suggests, our world will be transformed.
