"We purchased a "pack-n-play" and have hardly used it because it is so heavy (33 lbs) and cumbersome to set up and use. We recently invested in this and it is wonderful! So easy to set up and very light and portable. Much more practical if you actually want to travel with it!"
"This is such a great nursing pillow for the first few months. Since it snaps around your body, it keeps the baby in just the right position. I used this exclusively for the first 2 months, then I was able to switch over to the Boppy pillow once my son got bigger. This is a must for breastfeeding mommies."
"My son slept in this until he was four months old. It cuddles him more than just laying flat and keeps him slightly upright which can help with reflux and congestion. Completely washable and very portable. We used this instead of a bassinet."
"My son began using the Baby Bjorn when he was just a week old. He really liked to be snuggled up to me (and I liked it too). Walking with him in it was a perfect way for me to begin getting a little exercise."
"We invested in the Moby for our second child. I feel like it serves a different purpose than the Bjorn, which I also love. I prefer this for walking around the house or shopping. It's nice the have the baby cuddled so close and my son loves it. I use the Bjorn more for walks outside, or when I'm pushing my older son in the stroller."
"I have to admit, I was skeptical of the play mat at first, but my son loved. It was the first toy he actually enjoyed - since he could just lay under it and look at the lights. Definitely worth getting one. We liked this particular gym, but I think any with lights and music would do."
"The video monitor is great. It's nice to see if he's really awake, or just stirring a little bit (because if you go in the room, he will definitely wake up). I like that if I turn the volume up, I can hear him breathe which is always reassuring. We have a slightly different model by Summer called "Slim & Secure" which is very similar to this one."
"This is worth it just for the peace of mind and how much more soundly you can sleep. I really like how it clips on to the diaper instead of being a large unit that goes under a crib mattress. You can use it with your existing baby monitor instead of having two receivers. I haven't had any issues with false alarms and it's simple to operate."
"If you run, you need a Baby Jogger. This isn't the exact model we have, but I love the Baby Jogger brand. A fixed front wheel is a must if you are a serious runner. We bought our jogger used because they are so expensive new, but make sure you get a good one.""
"Every mommy needs a boppy. Great for positioning him in so he could watch what we were doing. And, good for nursing once he could support himself a little better (for the first few months, we used the Brest Friend pillow)."
"Several people told me not to get a bottle warmer, but I'm actually really glad I did. Since you aren't supposed to microwave breast milk, it's the best and quickest way to heat a bottle - or thaw frozen milk. Even though my son doesn't take bottles much at home (I mostly nurse him), it has still come in pretty handy."
"Love these swaddling blankets. The fabric is super soft and thin and they are very big so you have enough to really get a good swaddle in. They come in lots of great patterns, and also double as a nursing cover if you need it."
"Can not live without this! It makes nursing anywhere really easy. I always keep it in the diaper bag. The neck is made so you can look down at the baby, but you are still very well covered. Great product!"
"We've used our swing a lot more with our second. We keep it in the kitchen so my son can swing while I cook dinner. This model plugs in which is a nice feature instead of burning through batteries. It's nice to have the baby up off the floor (compared to a bouncy seat), especially if you have dogs."
