Subtle and thoughful,
By Okla Elliott (Columbus, OH United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Our Lives Are Rivers (Contemporary Poetry Series) (Paperback)
Mark Smith-Soto's poems are both erudite and emotionally immediate. His work defies the classification of "Latino" yet also incorporates the poet's Costa Rican heritage and his study of Latin American literature.
For any serious fan of contemporary poetry, this book is a must-have.
