Simple yet delicious,

All the recipes in this book are very easy and turn out great. They're perfect if you want to throw an impromptu dinner party for friends and have little experience in doing so. I recommend the Spicy Carrot Ginger Soup!

What a surprise.,

I bought this in a used store. What a find! It is full of really rich foods. From appetizers to desserts, the recipes are outstanding. Most are not exactly low-fat fare. The 40-Clove garlic chicken has to be the best I have found. It is a keeper. Do not judge this cookbook by the authors as I might have done.

I loved reading this book because in between the recipes, Jock and Heather discuss their lives, friends, careers, etc. It's almost like being at one of their dinner parties. Plus, most of the recipes aren't too difficult and seem like something you might end up making fairly often. Jock is always entertaining (if you like this, read his new book, Every Step You Take) and I think would be a fabulous best friend. He and Heather danced together and are best friends and you can tell that they work well together, whether they're dancing or cooking. I like cookbooks that are more than just cookbooks, if they're well written; and this one was.
