Adorable bowl! If you decide to purchase, do so from a vendor other than Central Chef. Customer service is horrendous!!,
This review is from: Our Name is Mud Little Bear Bowl
This is an adorable bowl for young children who love the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I have ordered five more so that all of my grandchildren may have one of their own. I ordered them, however, from a different vendor--NOT Central Chef. One of the two matching bowls I ordered from Central Chef for my twin grandsons arrived chipped. Customer service at Central Chef is practically non-existant. I ordered the two bowls in good faith and in plenty of time for them to arrive for the twins' birthday party. When one arrived chipped, I asked Central Chef to replace it in time for the party. ALL THEY WOULD HAVE HAD TO DO WAS OVERNIGHT IT. They refused, informed me that several other customers were in line ahead of me for customer service and that I would not be recieving the bowl in time for "any party." I was also asked why I thought I was so important that I should be put ahead of other customers. They were totally unwilling to accept responsibility for shipping me defective merchandise. They were rude and, at one point, a customer service supervisor hung up on me. I owned a small paperdoll business for 34 years and I know from experience that this is not the way to build customer loyalty. We always stood behind our paperdoll products, built a cadre of satisfied customers, and eventually sold to a subsidiary of Hallmark. Furthermore, I am sure the bowl was not damaged in shipment. The manufacturer's packaging was not damaged and neither was the shipping carton in which it arrived. Even if it had been damaged in shipment, a reputable business should have been willing to replace it and THEN to deal with their carrier for reinbursement. We have told the twins (as well as my other grandchildren) that they will be recieving the bowls at Christmas, and I have ordered from a different vendor. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau nearest Tampa. I would like to speak with the owner or general manager of the business. I can't believe that person knows what is going on in his/her customer service department. Until then, BUYER BEWARE of ordering from Central Chef.
