I wish I could find the author of this book, shake their hand and yell "THANK YOU!" at the top of my lungs. I'm getting married this fall and I've been looking for months for a scrapbook for my wedding that was in the style of a baby book, and I've had no luck. Either the pictures were bad or there were mushy phrases throughout the book or the book didn't feel sturdy enough or it didn't leave room for expansion... I think you get the picture. Then, out of pure, dumb, luck I found this book.

I have to say, this book is ~*everything*~ I could ever want. It's romantic without being schmaltzy, pretty without being overly formal, structured enough to give you ideas of what to add, but not so regimented that it snuffs out all creativity. This is, essentially, like a baby book that sort of documents your relationship, from the "How we met/Our first date/When we knew this was THE ONE" page, right on through to highlights from our first marriage, and finishing with a page which documents what you gave as anniversary gifts through your diamond anniversary.

The cover is hard and sturdy, and even though I question how well the cover will look after a few years, structurally it will hold the book together which is all that really matters to me. Inside, the binding is a spiral binding with a cardboard bracer, so the pages don't flop around on the spine. One thing I love about this book is that even though this book is spiral bound, there is a lot of space for expansion after you add pictures and mementos. As any scrap booker can tell you, when you scrap in a spiral bound book, you have to remove a lot of pages to ensure the book will close flat (or close at all). Whomever designed this book must be a scrap booker because the binding leaves a lot of room for growth by having binding and a cover that can easily support twice as many pages than are in there (though admittedly before you start to load the book up, it looks scant but trust me, you'll appreciate the growing room).

The topics and sample pages in the book are wonderful, but not corny which is something that I try to avoid, and the same holds true with the pictures. Simple, but not cheesy. Some of the pages in the book include: "The Proposal," "The Day We Got Engaged," a family tree, "Our Engagement Celebration," Planning the Wedding," "The Wedding Dress," a place to save a copy of the invitation, "Wedding Day Time Tables" for both him and her, "Our Music," "Our First Dance," "Favorite Moments," "Our Honeymoon," and so many more. There's even one section where you record guests and their presents, but I think I'm going to change it so that it just reads "Guests" and then leave it out as my guestbook. That way, I can have my guestbook in my scrapbook, and my guests can flip through the pages about how we met and what we did as a couple.

I love this book, and I can't wait to fill it up. I think this will become a highly treasured memory for years to come. I wish I knew somebody (other than me) who's getting married... This would make the absolute perfect gift for every bride and her wedding, regardless of how simple or elegant it is.

The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is, as I said, even though the book itself is sturdy, I don't think the metallic decoration on the cover will stay as pristine and shiny as it is now.

Someone just gave this book to me as an engagement gift and I can't stop looking through it. The best way to describe it is a baby book for your wedding. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is playful without being cheesy. This has so far been the best gift I've received and I plan to give it to others who get engaged!

This book is designed just like a baby book with questions like "how did you meet?", "What was your favorite part of the wedding?" ect... Comes in a simple yet elegant book fun easy and great for people who want this in addition to a picture album or scrapbook or people who are not great scrapbookers like myself.

Amazingly it is difficult to find a premade scrapbook for the wedding process. You'll find resources galore or how to put together a wedding, but nothing to put all your wonderful memories in. Until this book. I highly recommend the book for its originality and sense of detail of what is important for the day. She has spaces for important pictures as well as thoughts to document that captures the day's events. And you'll continue to use the scrapbook each year as you update your anniversary gifts. A true treasure you can pass down to your children.

This past Christmas, I bought this scrapbook for my future sister-in-law. I loved the simple design and lighthearted tone, and when she received it she said that she loved this book too. Now in addition to being her bridesmaid, I am suddenly a bride-to-be myself. I immediately sought out this book and was surprised by how emotional I felt as I flipped through it. If you are the sentimental type and enjoy reveling in memories of how you met, when you knew he was The One, and more--or if you know a bride-to-be who is--then this book is an excellent choice.

This reminded me a lot of the scrapbook we found of my grandparents' wedding. I like that it had structured content, and gave suggestions about what to paste on each page. It gave questions to prompt what to write. I'm not much of a scrapbooker, so I liked the structure. It is also very retro looking.

It did have sections that I didn't have content for (we didn't have an engagement party). But over all it was great.

The sticker on the front was on upside down, so I had to peel it off & put it on the right way, but it worked out fine.

The scrapbook was done by someone affiliated w/Martha Stewart's magazine.

I first spotted this in the O Magazine(Oprah)and ordered it and it's great! I can add things into it like a traditional scrapbook and not worry about pockets and overlays, so I can have little things open and stick out without getting crushed.

This scrapbook is a lot of fun to own. It has little illustrations along the sides of the blank pages for you to fill whatever you want, or attach whatever you want into your book. It has a family tree to fill in for you and your fiance's family. It has section for the parties, the showers, the planning, and the wedding day. We just had our engagement party and left it on a table for guests to sign and leave messages for us. Everyone thought the book was really cool. This book is a great idea or even a GREAT gift for anyone you know who is engaged!

Got this for a friend for a wedding shower gift. She really likes it though she says some of the pages are a little hard to fill out- lots of information in the book. But it's a good thing, that way in 50 years you will remember every single detail of your wedding.

Awesome book! More than a scrapbook because it has lots of prompts/ideas for recording important info related to your engagement and wedding...similar to a baby book format. It was exactly what I was looking for...you'll be pleased with this one!
