We have a very picky cat. She refuses to play with anything or with anybody. She would rather sit and sulk, thinking that you should feel guilty that she must endure you. We have tried many toys and spent many dollars trying to get her interested in something, even playing with yarn and boxes - a sure winner with other cats that we have had.

We stumbled on this at a local pet shop and decided to try it. Our cat was immediately interested and LOVES this toy. It releases a mild "squeek" when bumped or thrown (it must have a small battery buried somewhere inside), but it isn't obnoxious.
After several weeks she still enjoys it and we enjoy watching her play for a change. The other toys are still around and she still isn't interested in them, but this is the best.
Sometimes the entire family is looking for the mouse if it gets misplaced or is "chased"under the couch.

This has really taken the "grouch" out of our cat.

I have two very active young cats and this mouse has saved my furniture! They pick the mouse up in their mouths and run all over the apartment. It is so cute to watch them play wild hunters! It is a tough toy too. My boys have dumped it a hundred times in their water bowl and the poor thing continues working after I dry it with the blow dryer. It is so real that the cats are sure that they are dealing with a mouse. The little squeak it makes makes me feel sorry for the mouse as it were alive, imagine! Well, it is so much fun that we put it away to give the cats a break. We bought a new one because our Leo hid his mouse and now can't remember where it is and cries all over the home looking for it. I strongly recommend this toy and want to take the opportunity to congratulate its inventors.

I was afraid this wouldn't go over well with my Tornado and Tsunami. However, they appeared to be bored too much in my opinion and I figured why not give it a try. For the first few minutes with it, they were really confused as they had never seen a mouse before. However, after a few minutes, they were going after it crazily and did so for more than a few weeks until it got caught under the stove. If your cats appear bored and you have a few bucks to spare, give it a chance! Just make sure to block the little space underneath the stove or other hard to move appliances!

I bought this a while ago for my adult cat who was bored. He played with it for a bit but quickly became disinterested. I found the little electronic squeeps and chirps to be quite charming, however.

Fast forward six months, and I adopted a younger cat to keep him company. I'd completely forgotten about this toy, as had the older cat, but last night at THREE IN THE MORNING, the younger cat was wandering around and stumbled across this toy, at THREE IN THE MORNING, and she thought it was the best thing ever. And she wanted to show me how awesome it was, so she brought it into the bedroom.

At THREE IN THE MORNING.

Anyway, now it is her favorite thing in the world, and I wish I'd never come across this shrieking hell-beast.

Received the mouse today, unpacked it and left it on the floor. When Russell saw it he was mildly interested, started sniffing it and patting it. The first squeak startled him a little at first, but then they got him hooked and they seem to add a lot to the pleasure of the chase.
Russell now brings me the mouse when he wants to play; I have to throw it as far as possible, he runs after it, brings it back and drops it at my feet. Every once in a while he also goes crazy jumping all over the place and throwing the mouse up in the air.
I've never seen him play so much with a toy! This inexpensive mouse is a keeper; I don't know how long it will last but it's already paid for itself in awesome playtime. Five paws!

I bought this for my fiance's cat to replace the old one which he had played to death with. This is his favorite toy and he makes it squeak with his hind paw and then turns around and pounces on it. The cat doesn't get tired of playing with it day and night.

My cat loves the thing; tossing it around like it was trying to kill it. The toy finally stopped squeeking after 1 week after I bought it. The cat now proceeds to tear the skin apart. -1 star for longevity another -1 for not being able to repair the squeeker without having to take the skin apart although the cat did that for me. 3 stars because the cat continues to play with whats left of it. Also, this toy does not bode well on hard floors.

I buy my three kitties lots of toys. Most cost around a dollar to two dollars. And do what they are supposed to do. This one I bought for full price because it was supposed to squeak.
I thought my cats would love it. And they did. For, at most, two minutes. They tapped it gently and seemed amazed at the sound. I was very happy. Then it stopped squeaking. I examined it and tried to make it work. It is completely dead and they have completely lost interest. So I should have paid attention to those reviews where exactly this problem was mentioned. I will not send back as I immediately threw away the wrappings and it cost $4.97 which means that the time and effort to return it is simply not worth it. But I can warn others. THIS PRODUCT IS SERIOUSLY DEFECTIVE. DO NOT BUY.
