Good Irish folk/jazz/rock/etc. fusion disc - NOT for PURISTS!,

"Out of the Air" is NOT TRADITIONAL IRISH FOLK MUSIC! While it's firmly BASED IN Irish folk, Davy Spillane combines it with jazz and even touches of blues and rock. The late (and legendary) Irish blues-rock guitarist RORY GALLAGHER plays on THREE songs! If you don't mind (or even like) when musicians mix-it-up genre-wise AND you like Irish music, you may want to give this a shot. (Also: If you like John Surman, early '70s Return To Forever, Paul Winter Consort, Oregon, Horslips, early Jethro Tull, etc.)

Not what I wanted,

If you're looking for rousing Irish Bagpipe music, this ain't it. It's more your average Irish reel band music. Don't care for it.
