Having been an Aces fan for many years I was really rapt to actually be able to get hold of some new material on CD. Up until recently it has been impossible to get hold of any of their albums in Australia. Out of the Blue is a great album, I would rate it alongside Too Stuffed to Jump and Burning the Ballroom. Blue Room stands out for me as the best track, I was fortunate enough to hear the live version when the Aces toured a couple of years back. Keep going guys and what about re-releasing some of the old albums on CD? My vinyl versions have just about been played to death. (Peter Boyle )

Great stuff guys - keep up the great work. It's been a long time between drinks here in Oz just waitin' for some new sounds from you - was worth the wait though. OH - by the way, how about releasing Too Stuffed To Jump and Car Over The Lake albums on CD - PPPPLLLLLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE - my LP's and tapes have been dead for a llooonnnnnngg time now - just plain worn out, and I do just miss that ORIGINALITY.

Since the demise of this group in 1980 I would browse record shops in the US and in Europe weekly, and I always checked to see if there was ANYTHING on the Aces breakin'. To my delight I was caught by surprise when in 1998 I walked into a record shop and "Out of the Blue" there was a new release by a group who had provided the soundtrack for many moments in my life! All I can say is that this group has matured well,Russell Smith still is a first rate,kick-... songsmith, just listen to the title track as well as the touching lyrics that tell of the relationship between a young man, just out of his teens, and a woman stuck in an abusive relationship, great writing. The gutsey guitar and blusey piano and vocals on "The Blue Room" take you right to it. Russell still knows how to turn a vocal phrase. This group has only gotten better with age, just like a fine wine. Thanks guys!

The Aces are back with a vengence...,

When the boys disbanded I was heartbroken... The Aces are my favorite band. When I heard they were back, I just had to get this CD. To date, it is my favorite, particularly, Out of The Blue, Love's on the Way, Blue Room, One Love... basically the whole thing! When ever I feel bad, down, or whatever, I put this CD on and immediately things start looking up. Out of The Blue will definitely end up in the "feel good" hall of fame! Check out their web site (www.theaces.com) and go see them live if you get a chance!

Nobody grooves like the Aces,

This band is alive! This is no comeback act, trying to pad the retirement fund, this is the real deal. H. Russell wrote great songs in the 70's, and now he's showing everyone that he is indeed a rare musical natural resource - a well of soul that connects to the mother lode somwehere deep. The songs are full of life, and are played well by a great band, who despite the ravages of years and the death of Butch McDade, still generate the deepest grooves in Rock, Country, or anywhere else. Anyway, I'm as excited about these two records ("Out of the Blue" and "Chock Full of Country Goodness")as I was when Craig Fuller found that great back-up band, Little Feat, and helped write one of the best records of the century, "Let it Roll." This time, guys, be sure to get more than your fair share. Sincerely, =Mark Dodge Co-author, "Running Microsoft Excel 2000," which was written largely under the funky influence of "Out of the Blue."

Since first listening to the Aces in the mid 70's (Too Stuffed To Jump) then seeing them live in Santa Cruz while on my overseas jaunt I was sold. My album of 'Too Stuffed..' was lost in my many moves until I rediscovered them on Amazon with 'Ride Again' and 'Out of the Blue' I was fired up again. I cannot say how much I enjoy the music. It is time we had more CD choice available. Thanks to Russel and the boys thanks for the hours of listening to quality sounds. We need more!

I found out about the Amazing Rhythm Aces when I saw them live in a bar in Nashville in June of 1998. They were getting ready for the debut of "Out of the Blue" in Europe. I was able to purchase an autographed copy of "Out of the Blue" directly from them. Now if I can just get it back from my wife.
