Captures all the drama and excitement!
A thoroughly engaging storytelling of real life inside one of those magical seasons. Weaves together the lives of several of the individuals who breathed the inspiration into the Angels. Wraps it all up with a dramatic game-by-game playback that brings it all to life. Haakenson makes you feel like you're right there with the players. I couldn't put it down!

Out of the Garbage Can
We are big Angel fans and loved "Tales from the Angels Dugout" by Steve Bisheff. So we were looking forward to reading this book, but were disappointed as it was simply awful. The writing is poor and the author fails to do the subject matter justice. I recommend passing on this and ordering Tales from the Angels Dugout.
