Great,
This review is from: Out of the Broom Closet (Kindle Edition)
i found this book while roaming through Barns and Noble a while ago. It caught my eye and could mot help but love how the stories inside related to my life. I have been following the path of the goddess and god for a year or more now. It is a great book for those who want to find out the best way to let others know about their beliefs. I fund it very refreshing knowing people who went through the same thing I am. A MUST buy!!!!!!!

I couldn't put this book down. It is a collection of stories from Witches around the world who shared their journey and personal liberation on how they came to be who they are. If you are new to Wicca or just interested grab this book.

I found this book to be disappointing and the stories bland. It's main focus is on how people came to identify themselves as wiccan and become rather smug about it when coming out publically. These are stories of people who know nothing about the Occult but focus mainly on the popular idea of a "nature based religion." I bought this book to read to my girlfriend (who identifies herself as wiccan) as a bedtime story and it did it's job. She fell helplessly asleep. I found no occult gems among the pages. Ironically the people who focused on this "nature based religion" must have killed a lot of trees in order to publish this work of dribble.

This is a phenomenal book. It is the ideal introductory book for a newcomer to Wicca and other forms of Neopaganism.
We at [...] have many dozens of books on the Craft, but I can think of no better book for the newcomer or curious. The fifty stories that it contains were written from the heart. They describe the range of beliefs and practices found in Neopaganism. A great buy! |
