4.0 out of 5 stars More of the same from surviviors in the rap game!
I've followed EPMD from their debut album and have never been dissapointed. This is more of that same formula that has made them legends in the field of hip-hop.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tight As the Last one, December 3, 1999
This review is from: Out of Business (Audio CD)
I have to agree with A music fan from Brooklyn. This was tight. I know my music. I followed them from the beginning. From what I recall there were maybe 1 or 2 songs that stranded far left. But overall It was tight. I'm glad to see old schoolers coming back out and showin these candy like here today gone tommorrow mc's how to do it right...

3.0 out of 5 stars Only true EPMD fans will appreciate this CD., September 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Out of Business (Audio CD)
I like many EPMD fans were anxiously waiting for this CD to be released. Especially since "Right Now" and "Symphony" were just blazin', blazin' tracks. So since this is supposedly the last EPMD joint, I had to pick it up. "The Fan", "U got shot", and "Jane 6" were hot, but the CD drags other than the first 2 selections I mentioned. It seemed like a hurried release. Erick Sermon is by no comparison, THE MOST UNDERRATED, and maybe even most UNAPPRECIATED M.C. in the rap game. Yet even he has done better in the past. Hope we see a solo release from both Erick & Parrish in 2000!

5.0 out of 5 stars Business is GOOD!, December 22, 1999
This review is from: Out of Business (Audio CD)
Once again, EPMD has managed to combine lyrical genius with that ill hip-hop flavor that so many artists lack these days. Unlike its title, EPMD's "Out of Business", will not be going anywhere but up. This group has continued to expand and blow up the spot once again. A must have for all true hip-hoppers. They're definately keepin it real, especially with their album-release hit "Symphony 2000" feat. the untouchable "Method Man". The combination is another platinum track... go 'head EPMD!

4.0 out of 5 stars bumpin, August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Out of Business (Audio CD)
This album is definitely more similar to "back in business" than their older stuff, but it's not as solid as back in business. The old west song doesn't work, but most of the rest is solid, the intro is tight. If you like this definitely get the greatest hits, or any of their albums, they're all good to a degree higher than most rap out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blazin, July 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Out of Business (Audio CD)
This album vividly displays how Erick and Parish lyrics will always get them a 4 or 5 star rating when they continue to follow their patented rap style. It's very simple for them to compile an album like this, and that is using the skills that took them to the top, rather than trying to make it sound different.
